Hi, I'm Kalideoscope...and I don't have cable.

*laugh* Well, I have rabbit ears, which entitles me to exactly seven channels. I get ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, the WB...

My question is this: Since I'm currently working days...is there anything cool to watch at night on my suck-ass but workable television situation?

the only non-cable thing i watch is "Still Standing" on monday nights at 8 o'clock....i think itz on um, NBC.....i think...or maybe itz CBS.....itz one of them stations that has those two hour block of comedy shows...."Still Standing" is on at 8, "Listen Up" is on at 8;30 (i've never seen it, but itz got that um, Jason Alexander from "Seinfeld" [fyi, i hate Sienfeld]) and um, i think "Everybody Loves Raymond" is on at 9 (i don't watch that either) and every now and then i watch "2 and a Half Men" which is on at 9;30 which has Charlie Sheen and John Cryer on it.....itz purdy popular, but i'm not real keen on it.....

i don't really watch telelvision all that much really......save for like stuff on cable, TLC, Discovery, maybe Vh1 or Comedy Central........

csi, law and order, medium...those are all shows i watch when i'm not working...

law & order is on 24 hours a day. it fills me with murderous rage.

and no, i don't watch anything on non-cable anymore.

that's probably why i'm able to watch it when i'm not at work...

yeah, I don't have cable either. It all depends what you're into I suppose. I like CSI, Lost, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, NCIS, & Medical Investigation.

When I watch non-cable,its usually Late-night.
On weekends,Fox,and the WB air shows like The (new) Twilight Zone,The Outer Limits,Mutant-X,Andromeda.Almost every night : Street Smarts,Elimidate,Blind Date,Shipmates,ex-treme Dating.Just a bunch of dating shows,mildly entertaining.Theres also 'Cheaters'.

CSI is definitely worth watching. CSI:Miami I watched a couple episodes of, but just didn't get into it, the actors don't give me any reason to give a fuck. CSI:NY has been fair thus far, but the original series is still far and away the best.

If I have nothing else to do, I'll watch Fox for "That 70s Show" reruns and "The Simpsons," but aside from that, no, there really isn't anything good to watch. Network television is inundated with the same old sitcoms and the hell of "reality" television...

i think CSI has just enough character development over the seasons to keep me coming back... they hint at everything and make you put it together. Honestly, that's all im there for. If I were interested in hi-tech forensics with no (interesting) character development, I'd watch Crossing Jordan.

Wow...yeah, I pretty much need cable. *going cross-eyed for a minute* Hmmm. It's six-thirty now...I think I'll watch Wheel of Fortune! (applause, look at Vanna's new dress, applause...) Thanx for the info, guys!

Tonight I'll be watching How'd they do that, Las Vegas, and CSI: Miami. w00t.

i should write mr. buckheimer and thank him, he's given mia something to apire to...she watches the show to so that she can become a cop like them and find out who stole a plant from my garden...

i dread the thought of having to by her a chemistry set

check out "LOST" and of course "Alias" on Wednesdays on ABC, if you get UPN, check out "Veronica Mars" on Tuesdays, Thursdays is "The O.C." and "Point Pleasant" on Fox, they're the secret pleasure noone says they watch, just like "Desperate Housewives" on Sunday on ABC.

some of these shows make me wish i had more time to watch television...i've heard so much about them.

"LOST" and "Alias" are the best shows on tv. Make time to see them. "Veronica Mars" I watch just cuz I think the main chick is cute, and the show isn't that bad for it being on UPN. "Point Pleasant" has a good basis, chick has 666 marked into her eye, she's the spawn of Satan and makes alot of bad shit happen to people, but the writing is rather cheesy. Its only been on for 2 weeks, hopefully it gets better. "The O.C." is a lot better version of 90210 and "Desperate Housewives", well fuck, its an even better version of 90210 for an older crowd. Like I said, they're guilty pleasures you never admit to watching.

i'm contemplating quitting my job...for personal issues with co workers...but then i would have more time to watch televison...this thread may come in handy.
