I hate the American Iron Chef. One of the main reasons I <3 Iron Chef is because of the voiceover commentary by the judges. They seem to actually KNOW what they're talking about. Plus, their featured ingredients are always exotic shit... like cactus or jellyfish.

Iron Chef America uses stupid shit like pumpkin or garbanzo beans.

Alton Brown is the best part of Iron Chef America, but overall its a pretty bad show compared to the Japanese version, of course though in IC Japanese the Chances of a non-jap winning are pretty slim because they always pack asshole actors and losers for the judges who know jack shit about international cuisine. Thats the ONLY thing the US version has over the Jap version, they have real judges.

And I agree, the last time i watched Iron Chef America, I think the mystery ingrediant was trout... OoOoOoOoh that would be hard as shit, i mean NOONE knows how to prepare fucking trout. I prefer to see them be forced to work around using like Cow anus or something. A real challenge, and then we get to watch the pin head actor judges say "oh my I havent eaten rectum in some time, so good."

You guys are nuts. Mtv takes a bunch of attractive, young, mildly retarded, uber dramatic kids and puts them up in a million dollar home where their sole responsibility is to get wasted and screw eachother and/or verbally abusive eachother. Possibly physically abuse eachother.

Not to mention the constant repetition. There's almost ALWAYS a homosexual. Always someone who's supposed to play the puritan. The token negro. The fratboy type. The angsty, poetic freaky type.

It's all the fucking same. People only like that show because they wish the "real world" was like that.
