1) Adolescence of Utena- see if you can get a copy from your local anime store. Try to find a first generation sub, as a lot of the art becomes distorted and weak after too many generations of copying. It looks really, really cool in the original though.
2) Pitch Black- Despite the PR it had, it's not a pointless excuse for k3wl graphics. The creepy looking alien things only get about two minutes of screen time the entire movie. It's very good, I reccomend it heartily.
Ninth Gate- Very nice movie about the supernatural that still manages to come off as almost a normal movie. Great cast, and funny as Hell if you get the jokes. Though the ending left a bit to be desired...not that there was necessarily anything wrong with it, except for the fact that there's a feeling that they suddenly cut off the last five minutes.
When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

What's wrong with this World that people call places with over a million people a town? My city has 50,000 people in it and I consider it a city.

When I saw Quills I was still living in San Antonio, Tx (1+ mil), and Lol, it is a town, trust me, you'd understand if you been there. They whole place has a complexity of a dozen little military towns joined together at the center. Austin which is MUCH smaller, is more of a city then SA would ever hope to be. Basically, if you seen little towns that are around military bases, you'd get the idea

Is it really? Last time I checked, I thought it was under half of that...but that might have been the '90 census.

Hmm, expedia.com guide says that Prtland metropolitan area is about 2 mil, US Census site took forever to load, and then crashed on me twice, I'll look up more pecise data at a later time
In any case, we are getting a bit off topic, hehe. Lets think movies
drool, Anime. Been a long time since I looked into those. Last ones I've seen that turned out to be decent:
Samurai X (kinda nice, in a thinking way, reminded me of Blade of the Immortal series somehow)
X1999 (or something like that, been a while, Nice twist at the end)
Saint Seya (really old, almost impossible to find in states, the one I had was all in Cantonese, I will have to look for english sub someday)
Just about anything by Masamune Shirow, though I was slightly annoyed by the castration of Ghost in the Shell. Too much was sacrificed to fit it in one tape, does not hold a candle to the book, but if you havent read the original comics, it is still a nice movie.
