Ok ya'll. Have any of you watched Queen of the Damned?
Is it good? Any good? Worth watching for vampire fans?

Just wondering. Maybe this could be a "Did anyone watch?" thread. But Im mainly just curious on the movie. I can't decide on wether to watch it or not. No spoilers!

It's not bad, but it's not a patch on the book nor the film version of Interview.

first off, i ain't big on hollywood vampYre movies....they make me ill.....they know shit about vampires....not that i'm some uber-vampYre geek or anything, but i at least know some info about vampires....like the fact that vampires havin' fangs was an accident....Bram Stoker's Dracula never made one mention of fangs.....fangs were the result of this story back in the olden days (itz called Varney the Vamp....it was an erotic comedy...there's a sex scene where the writer decribes the vampire bitin' a woman's neck.....hence, fangs!!!!!)

anywho....so yeah, fuck Anne Rice and fuck her cliched hollywood vampYre stories...

now, onto the movie itself.....as i hate Anne Rice and hate hollywood vampYres, i am sad to admit that Interview With a VampYre has itz moments and isn't all that shabby.....

but Queen of the Damned??!! FUCKIN' ATROCIOUS!!!!!!!

the actin' was beyond horrible...i mean, how many R&B singers (or whatever she did) do you think can really act.....gimme a break!!!!! (except Queen Latifah....that girl rocks!).....anywho, so you got horrible actin' and a shitty fuckin' plot....throw in some cliches (violins, blood love, FANGS, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah) and then throw in the uber of all uber cliches: goths and goth clubs and wannabe-goth music and latex and vampYres and you got yourself one helluva shitty fuckin' movie........save your money and try and find sumtin' concernin' Vlad Tepes or Erzsebet Bahor (Elizabeth Bathory)...at least that way you're gettin' two actual human-vampire murderers who were the icons for vampires as we know it today....

I'm not really a fan of horror movies,so i haven't seen it.
The only real good vampire film for me is 'Bram Stoker's dracula'.

I like it pretty well...but then, I like just about every vampire movie I've seen...I like most of the horror movies, in general, that I've seen. I'm not too hard to please when it comes to horror movies...but there are a few that I hated, and I wasted my time watching them.

Sic, I wish I could get straight answares from you. I don't hate Anne Rice and all of her gay vampires (seriously, read the books, they're all gay, gay, GAY), but Queen of the Damned was bad. Not just because theyt used almost every cliche ever created (although I personally think that the music rocked), but because the acting was so bad. Especially for the lead male character. He overacts atrociously, hissing and flaring his fangs about.

But it really depends on you. I'd say if you really like Underworld (which I hated), it is likely that you'll not hate Queen of the Damned.

I did like Underworld. Though after reading what Queen of the Damned was about (on the movie), I decided against it anyways.

And yes, I am aware that the vampires are gay. Sereously gay.

thatz not true man....i liked Underworld....liked it enough to buy it used....but i fuckin' despise Queen of the Damned

but like i said, i fuckin' despise Anne Rice and everything she stands for and i hate the fact so many people consider her a great writer....she's horrible!!!! anywho, as for the movies.....like, yeah Underworld had itz cliches, but the acting wasn't too terrible and the plot was kinda kool, but i took that movie for what it was: an action flick....itz not so much a movie about vampYres and werewolves, itz an action flick with vampYre and werewolf characters.....

but yeah, fuck Queen of the Damned........lemme just give you an idea of how horrible this movie really is....i caught it on television, TBS (i think) on a wednesday morning........now what kinda fuckin' movies do they usually show on TBS at like 10;00 am?! fuckin' pathetic, horrible movies, because they figure most people are at work and the only ones watching television are people who are at home, sick, laying half-awake on the couch, blindly staring at the television....thatz who....

At least Queen of the Damned had some gore. Underworld didn't provide shit, what with cutting away every damn time a werewolf attacked someone.

...I didn't like either, and now I feel like I'm defending Queen. What am I saying? Don't see either.

I really liked 'Queen Of The Damned'. 'Underworld'...was just....dumb. Plus well maybe the 2 ass fucks i went with made it worse. It didn't do anything for me like the other did!

"Queen of the Damned" had the worse fucking special effects EVER. It looked like Microsoft Paint jizzed on the film can.
