it was a pretty good flick. i love how the 3 indestructable people are forced to deal with their own humanity during the fire sceen and when they were double crossed by their friends, but i cant get over that sceen in the hotel. i couldnt sit and watch my wife/girlfriend be fucked with a pistol. someone would have to go after he said "take your clothes off."
take em all, take em all, put our back against a wall and shoot em, toe to toe, watch em fall, come on boys take em all.
I liked it for what it was. It wasn't a horror movie, at least not along the same lines of House of a 1,000 Corpses. But it was a pretty cool flick, nonetheless.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing them made human, and even rooting for them instead of the cop at the end. Kinda reminded me of Natural Born Killers.
your both right. it wasnt much a horror flick. it was almost like a documentery. it had the music from the time, and the culture. the first 15 minutes were gold.
"you ready?"
"hell yeah...."

I think Best Buy made a little mistake. They sold me House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects for a total of $20.00 plus tax. The latter was marked $24.99 by itself, and the former $16.99.
Did they really sell me each movie for ten bucks? What a fantastic sale.
I thought this movie was pretty much crap. With the exception of William "I've Got a Thin Dick!" Forsythe, the acting could have been accomplished just as well with a bunch of cinderblocks. The horror was lacking, the gore was not that gory, and the psychological horror aspects were so over the top that they just seemed absurd.
I knew this was supposed to be campy, and I went into it expecting it to be as such, but I just couldn't suspend enough disbelief.
Not to mention the pyrotechnics on the weapons were fucking terrible.

it was a one week promotion, both movies for 20$.
I dug the film...roadkill scene was pretty cool...I didn't expect anything, maybe for it to be absolute shit but it wasn't.

"If you forever do what you've done, you'll forever get what you've gotten"
personally i was disappointed by it, i'm not sure if it was that the main characters were killed, there wasn't enough gore and violence in it, or if it was just not as...odd and twisted as the original.
at least there was some resolution to the firefly story...
