I've not seen either - heard some negative comments on the new one. Still, stuff like that always freaks me out because it COULD happen. Perhaps not in a week as the newer film, but it still get's your (or mine) mind working overtime. Films like that I find far more disturbing than any horror film I've watched.
Reminds me of a cartoon that was out in the 80's too called 'Where the wind blows' (I think). I still haven't managed to watch it all.

actually the movie i'm talking about was an old made for tv movie, probably early eighties...when the cold war was at it's height...it's been recently released on dvd...and has nothing to do with global warming...just setting up a nice life in kansas and then the image of missiles going off and then what happens thirty minutes after and beyond...it's really not pretty...
hey're releasing a lot of old movies on dvd now...they're actually working on phasing out video cassettes, the good news is it's never been cheaper to purchase them. 4.99 at a blockbuster.
