My brother rented this movie last night and I thought it would be another one of his mind wasting movies, but it was really good. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this movie or knows of other movies that are similar to it. Reminds me of Dark City which if I remember correctly I'm the only one out of my group of friends who thought it was half decent. Ok, I went off on my own there...so please if you know of any other movies like this leave a list of them. Greatly appreciated.

i love that flick! in fact i made a thread about it a while back, you can view it by clicking here. dark city was also another movie that i loved... since we seem to like the same type of movies, i'll just rattle some of my favorites off and if you haven't seen them then go rent them: memento, the cell, seven, fight club, 12 monkeys, gattaca, the sixth sense, reservoir dogs, the game, usual suspects, natural born killers, office space, conspiracy theory, the devil's advocate... shit, well there's a bunch.

We really do have the same taste in movies. Wow! I've seen all those movies and I loved almost all of them. I'll have to list some of my fav's later and then we can compare some more. And I'm going to go check out your thread right now. Thanks ArSiNiK.

as for City, great movie... but this thread is cyclic. seems like one every four or five months a new one is made.

this is one of the most imaginative movies i have ever seen. it is beautiful to look at and the storyline is fairly bizarre.

check out the other movies by the man(jeunet) who directed this one:

DELICATESSEN
ALIEN RESURRECTION (not so good)
AMELIE (his latest which will hopefully win the best foreign film Oscar)

Definetly a favorite......but, I prefer the sub-titled version. I happened to see it last night on Sci-Fi, and it being over-dubbed kinda irritated me.
