I was going to post a thread on this last week and figured someone else would...but didn't....so

I watched it last week and found it to be quite entertaining. Although the entire movie takes place in a lack luster retirement home the witty dialogue makes it very much enjoyable.

Having a really shitty theatrical release it was destined for a 'cult' status much like star Bruce Campbell's previous Evil Dead Trilogy.

Like I said the film is set in a retirement home located in East Texas. And is the residence of Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) and his friend President J.F.K. (Ossie Davis). All is boring as per usual until some odd deaths start to occur.

Investigating the crimes Elvis and Jack find the perpetrator to be a soul sucking redneck mummy from beyond the dead.
So the duo set out to save their home and their souls by taking Bubba Ho-Tep down.

Anyone else seen it? Or want to see it?

I didn't like at all. I was bored watching it and couldn't wait for it to be over.

but where else in history can you hear The King say, "what do I care? I got a growth on my pecker."


I actually enjoyed the movie. It didn't make fun of the elderly but actually made the characters seen real and believeable.

Try watching it with the commentary by The King running....it is interesting

Pain is Nature's way of saying "At least your still alive!"
