I slept late, so just two meals today: leftover pizza rolls & now more chicken breast & broccoli w/soy sauce. Also No Pudge brownies and off-brand Diet Dr Pepper.

I'll season the chicken with yummy herbs and then bake it. Steam the brocs I think.

It's just after lunch time here on Sunday.

We went to a cafe for breakfast - I swear it's the best cooked breakfast in Auckland. I've yet to find better anyway. We both ordered Bacon Hash plus 2 poached eggs. Bacon Hash consists of Bacon cooked in maple syrup, a huge homemade hashbrown, big flat mushrooms all drenched in hollandaise sauce. It's rich and good for your heart (attacks).

Sudderlapjes is a beef that has to simmer in butter and different herbs for a few hours so it becomes very tender . It's delicious ! The rest was mashed potatoes with gravy , leek and milk

So like a stew or casserole? Sounds hearty and wintery!

I had sushi and seaweed salad for lunch. Just because I'm sure you'd like to know, seaweed salad makes my poop green! Does that mean it's good for me? I think yes, but correct me if I'm wrong!

For dinner we had pan fried pork with lots of herbs and seasoning with pasta salad that had a mixture of all the vegies in our fridge. It was delish!

I love cooking just throwing in a bit of this and a bit of that.

So far, a handful of raw unsalted almonds, part of a bottle of Odwalla B Berrier juice drink, some water, a raw carrot dipped in cream cheese, and I just started on a bowl of egg noodles mixed with oregano, Parmesan cheese, extra virgin olive oil and a dash of ketchup.

Chicken and vegies on rice for lunch - only $4 That's less that $3US. What a bargain!
We went to the supermarket today and they had pork roast on special. We paid $12 for 2kg of pork! Hmmm...that's about $7 US for over 4 pounds of meat

We're not going to eat the whole thing of course, we've got about the same weight in vegetables...Let's see, that's about 9 pounds of food for 2 people...Looks like we over estimated our stomachs again!

Guess what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow?

Lots of folks brought in sweets to work today, and I am proud of myself for trying a couple of things and not snarfing down. I took a long walk after my lunch of a diet frozen entree too. Now I'm going to snack on my usual reduced fat Totino's pizza rolls and Diet Dr P- no, hot tea!

maso, speaking as a beef person, those are some great meat deals! My company is currently purchasing some specialty cuts at *EDIT*/lb to be re-sold for even more!

I think we're lucky in NZ - we've got a small population and heaps of farming. Most of our meat is exported, but what we do get is super fresh and yummy.

We totally devoured the 2kg roast. Our flatmates came home and picked up where we left off...So I had to buy lunch today - spaghetti bolognaise. Pretty yum, but overcooked. Lots of places overcook their pasta. Oh well.
Oh yeah, I had honey puffs for breakfast.

We've got chocolate left over from Haloween to eat too.

Lunch: whole wheat spaghetti with ext. virgin olive oil, chopped garlic, sea salt, pepper; an organic Gala apple.

At work I tried NingXia juice (mostly wolfberry juice). It was good.

Dinner: Chinese buffet food, mostly veggies, fish, and a little bit of boneless spareribs, hot tea. When I got home I made ginger tea with fresh ginger and I am drinking some more now.

And of course, water.
