How do you spend your time on earth?

To quote one of my favorite bands:

"...hanging on in quiet desperation..."


That's about 90% of the time.

The rest of the time is spent Binge Drinking! (It gets capital letters because we really do it up).

I work at a meaningless job just about every day, have to cook dinner most nights, go out and get wasted beyond recall, and between the hours of 2 to 5 am I spend on the phone with my boyfriend. At least 4 times a week I dedicate an hour to playing my sax and working out, which isn't all its cracked up to be. I like to try and stay busy but I still end up sleeping for most of the day and night.

I'm working on finding better ways to spend time this life so that I'll be better prepared for the next. Take that anyway you'd like.

...either way it's all about the way I see things.

I find that a lot of time goes into thinking about how life should be lived/experienced and what should/could be done which through some strangled route leads to divine inspiration...and then suddenly it's time to do something necessary yet mundane. I know i'm not the only one...but look i'm not saying it's like this ALL the time, but fairly often. Being easily bored is a bad thing, and generally everything comes down to motivation. A lot of life is lived mentally and we work with what we've got to try and translate that into action. Sometimes it turns out better, and it's usually always a suprise so your friends and lovers are always entertained :p

I watch. I listen. I learn and I dream...alot.

I live through thirst and hunger to see and find out more. I guess that's the whole point.

I work my hardest at a dead end job. So I can home to my apartment, and do what your asking. Not very much, in a town this small. You cant do anything, or you'll regret doing it

I wear nothing in my home. Walking around butt naked. While listening to Ultravox, I am watching Spongebob getting torn to pieces with Sandy's excercise ragime.

I walk the earth like a smalltown boy, the rain always rains down on me and as I cross the plains, the wailing winds come toward me and become completely lost in the wilderness. I fall onto my knees and cry like a child. I plead to Olivia, my Goddess.(Olivia Flaversham) and she comes down from out of the clouds like a dragon that cannot harm anybody. I am soon riding through the clouds and the satisfaction of euphoria fills me with wholeness and at one with the elements, the skies and the geography of this World.

being at a military academy, my life is very borring and regimented... wake up 430 am for PT.. formations and classes till 3:30.. not allowed to leave campus most of the time.. I go to school here for free money wise but im really paying for it with my happiness.. I dont have much of a life.. go to bed at 1030 usually.. basically unhappy but i work hard and make the best of it so someday hopefully I can have a happy life....

Well said, I agree with you entirely on that but allow me to add my own personal twist. I live my life balancing my inner self with the world outside me. In the past I have been unhappy because I have delved to much in my inner world, became alone, very lost.

As a child I never had much interest in school cause I was focused mainly on the inner me. Just now I have figured out who I am and am now trying to catch up with the knowlege of my peers that I've missed out on.

I know it'll take some hard work to catch up to them but I know that the inner work I did as a child has brought me to a place where I'm strong enough to push through and attain that knowlege. So lately, I try to live my life asting as happy as I can, trying to bring other people up with me instead of feeding the dis-ease that has come to the world. So far, it's brought me more happiness then I could have ever asked for. Peace

I believe hard work will somehow be rewarded. If nothing else for now, you can feel proud of yourself for your sacrifice.

I live day to day (short term memory loss means going to sleep i forget much of the previous day) my physical activities are severely curtailed, i see myself getting heavier because of the lack of aerobic exercise. I go to college part time to get an education which is one of the main things that has enabled me to recover my IQ and 95% of my vocabulary.

I have maybe too many hobbies and obligations to various communities. don't see my kids enough this last month, never see my GF enough (one weekend in two) always forget to do things. I cry myself to sleep sometimes when I think of what I've lost, then wake up not remembering the emotional problems that made the previous day go up and down in my head. I am not looking forward to the day when theres no more drugs to try from my doctor to remove the constant pain in the left and rear of my head (diametrially opposite to where my head hit the ground (25mph wearing full facer) or prevent the rare occasions where i lose touch with me and try to harm/kill myself where i look at myself doing it and can't figure out why i don't appear to be in control of my body anymore.

The sun goes down far too quickly as we head towards winter and sometimes forget my birds need more attention than me sitting a foot or less from them. I should be getting help myself, cooking meals, paying bills, etc since i forget a lot but the specialist i threatened to sue just to get seen has screwed up all the help i could get in retribution.

At least I still have my IQ. It hurts to recognise your problems but it's better than losing IQ and living below your capabilities, never knowing what is wrong and how you appear to others.

I started college sat next to a lad with the same name as me. He admits he is in recovery from psychological problems and still on DLA but comes in dressed in long black pvc coat, black painted fingernails and a scowl on his face. I can't help thinking that his lifestyle and choice of image is detrimental to his psychological state and that I used my intelligence to choose the safest and most interesting environment around me to ensure that I didn't fall foul to the problems I see him with.

I may die today or tomorrow or live a long life, but I wake up each day having been relieved of most of the stress and emotional problems of the day before by the short term memory issue. I guess now I'm more scared of what the ambulance men will think of the state of my flat than the position I'm laid in if i die one of these days. It's not really worth being hassled about anymore, live life and gain some self respect and confidence to enjoy what you have left i say.

Drinking champagne, doing weekly shopping and coping with onslaught of potential cold winter.

These days, I sleep little at night and have weird dreams. Life was the same yesterday as it is today.
