I honestly don't think so. Even though humans are technically animals, I've known vegans that readily digested, um, "human meat byproducts" so a vegan could probably utilize the cuke and then chop it up for a salad later. Washing optional.
Of course, they also have non-gelatin capsules for sale in health food stores. Can you imagine buying a bottle of 200 Tylenol capsules and having to transfer them from their original casings? I just don't have that kind of time...or inclination. Shadowborn To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I cannot make the same claim, since asprin does nothing for tension headaches, gotta stick with the acetamenophin for that. As for the vegetarianism, it would probably kill me to do it, no joke. I am what a dietician would call an intuitive eater, meaning my body demands, and I give it what it demands. Not so much specific foods, but foods containing that which I need, and as things stand, I have to take suppliments in addition to getting everything I need from food. My body does not work right otherwise, particularly in the digestive aspect. Any unwanted changes in diet have caused muscule pain, tiredness and fatigue, bowel issues, muscule cramps, and diminished brain function, as well as an increase in my already too high blood pressure, but hey its not for everyone, if you have the money for the suppliments you have to take, and the desire, then do it. If you're going to stop eating meat for religious purposes that is one thing. Everyone will respect you for that. If you stop eating meat to be healthier because Dr. so and so recommended it great, do so. "There are millions of cases of food poisoning recorded every year. The vast majority are caused by eating meat."
The one and only time I got food poisoning came from cheese, not meat.
And I'd be interested in seeing a source for this claim. If it's true, they should probably specify "bad meat". Because you're not going to get food poisoning from a well-cooked, fresh steak. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

Ah yes. Bagged spinach recall.
That's why man cannot exist on veggies alone.
I like the occasional meal that was once living, breathing, breeding, shitting, and usually mooing. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

First of all, don't buy precut bagged lettuce and spinach. Besides the bacteria factor, there are tons of other reasons why not to eat it.
Second, I definitely see the reasoning in the pro-meat peoples points in the meat vs. no meat argument. It doesn't make me want to go back to eating it, but I can respect and understand it. Rather than meat, I would argue the validity of us eating dairy products (self included on this one; though I don't actually drink milk I do consume some of the other stuff).
The argument on this one is usually "Well, where would we get calcium?" or "It's a good source of protein". The truth is there are lots of other much better sources of protein and calcium that we could eat if we so chose. Besides the fact of where does milk come from? A mother animal. Cows make milk for baby cows, ewes for baby goats, human females for human babies, and so on. So why are people drinking cows milk?
Point one, it's for a baby mammal, so once you are out of the baby stage you no longer need this sort of nourishment and move on to other foods. Second is that if you still could need it, and logic prevailed, that would mean we would be drinking breast milk for the rest of our lives.

Well it is my understanding that cow's milk isn't all that good for you in the first place, the human body isn't really made to digest it, but it still does, for most people. I, on the other hand, cannot handle cows milk, and sadly for me, I don't projectile vomit it back up, it just causes me untold amounts of extreme pain, that can last either a few hours, or a couple of days, and does cause a form of regurgitation kinda like acid reflux, only what comes up is thick, white, and in small quantities..... my body is pretty good about keeping what it needs down, and disposing of the rest. Nah, I don't want cow's milk thank you, I'll drink the chocolate Silk. Farewell Little Brother, You Shall be Missed 1989-2007 I'm gonna kick you ass for this though

Silk is actually worse for me, as a diabetic then the cows milk. Higher carbs and sugars. Pain is Nature's way of saying "At least your still alive!"

I'd imagine most forms of dairy substitute would be that way, or anything soy based for that matter. It just works for me, and since my sister has acquired an ice cream maker, I am gonna start having to hunt down recipies so that I may have some for the first time in......... about 6 years Farewell Little Brother, You Shall be Missed 1989-2007 I'm gonna kick you ass for this though
