I'm Dutch Jewish and some French mixed in.

My moms side is completely Dutch jewish (though we can't look so far back the family line due to massive losses during WW2), what we did find is all Dutch.

My dads side we traced the family tree way back down to one of his pure forefathers Jean Thierry(*ong.1579 - † 1676)...a Hugenot family from France with familyarms/family heraldy and all.
From there they searched lots of Paris archives and found more traces:

Little was known from medieval times, only a Theodory of Thierry, who lived in "Septomania" a small jewish kingdom between Marseille and the Pyrenees, who later on became a French aristocrat.

From there it lead to this:
In the years 511 to 752, Europa is divided into 'kingdoms', among them the kingdom of King Thierry I, Thierry II, Thierry III and Thierry IV. They were part of the Merovingic Dynasty (longhaired barbarics). King Merovech († 457) has united the different kingdoms under the name 'The Francs'.

King Thierry IV is the last Thierry-king. His family lived in Opper-Lorrain (Lotharingen). This King Thierry was put prisoner in 734 in the castle of the village 'Chateau Thierry'. He was locked down there for the last 3 years of his life and died in 737.

I'm going to visit the castle this summer! :-)
Tracing this all back took years and years of research in various Parisian archives and other archives all over France.

Eh, mostly I am an american mutt. Bits of scottish, and german, and I think a bit of welsh as well as maybe a spot of Native American.

English as far as I know but my last name is rooted in Scotland so probably a tiny bit of that

My lastname suggests English, though I have ancestors from all over, mainly european. My family has lived in America sinse about 1500 though, so I guess I am more of a mutt than anything. And O - (The red cross loves our type.)
