Do you prefer the bustling busy lifestyle of the big city, being able to walk to the store, walk to the bar for a drink when you need to clear your head or just get away, walk to the movies, and meet ppl on the street?
Or
Do you prefer to be isolated from the rest of the world, living out in the bush in the middle of nowhere with the nearest house being a 5 minute drive away, and the nearest store being a 10 minute drive away....but with is rewarding peace and quiet, and the beautiful trees and dense darkness surrounding?
Whats your preference and why?

Personally I'd very much rather live in a big city than in the small town I live in. Everything is so isolated and most(I included) grow up unexposed to all the culture that's out there.

I would like the best of both..
Born in the city.
Moved to a small village in middle england as a toddler with weekends spent in London with family/friends.
Age 8 moved to a smaller city, 30 minutes one direction was London, 30 minutes the other was rural countryside.
I was always moving between my parents home, my friends' homes and my family's homes. Little City, Country, Big City.
The benefits of that are that I am streetwise, I have perfected dodging traffic to an art , im a city girl. At the same time I have a love of the country, fresh air, hiking, hidden places of beauty..
In a few years I will probably move back to London, but spend time out in the country- Cornwall, Devon, Wales, Scotland, South of France etc etc.
Bohemian but Cosmopolitan A golden energy
Was rising out of my head
I shed my evil skin
And found myself again I was wrong, I don't mind
The impossible seems possible
This time I'm an electric wire
If the sun can radiate then so can I

Hi! I personally prefferre the country I'm lucky I get best of both worlds going to the city ( orlando Florida ) on the weekends to visit my mother and living in the country ( ocala Florida ) the rest of the time but I do actually like the country better there is more privacy you don't have to worry about noisy nieghbors telling you your steroe is to loud and you can't ride a horse in the city like you can out in the country though you are lacking in things like mini marts and close stores the other stuff is worth it being about to ride dirt bikes and four wheelers around not worry about getting busted by the police so much it's more your own little world LOLOLOL WOw now wasn't that a comment and a half LOL

they both suck.... i hate living in the noisy city, too many people, too expensive, everyone acts like an asshole and treats you like shit, everything is cramped hard living and its smelly and dirty...
conversely the lonliness and isolation of the country would drive me mad, i need people and SOME action to keep myself going, i hate having to wait for mail to be my only friend, or to have to drive so far just to go see another living soul FUCK that...
give me the Suburbs just ouside of a city any day....
you have the peacefulness and community orientedness of a smaller population people know each others names and are courteous, and when your bored you hop the A train into the city for the day.

Yeah, I agree. What I need is somewhere in the middle, where you still have people and amenities, but there are country places as well, where you can experience some stillness and quietness... Fast Hitting Liquid Eating

i have to say that i am the same way..... i used to love being right in the city a few years back, it was just so convenient and all....but now.... i have had enough of it and i would prefer to live on the outskirts of the city...where there is peace and quiet and a sky that is not flooded out by city lights.........but yet with the city just bordering near by...

i really like the area that i live in. i'm about 10-15 minutes driving distance to the city, yet there's area with countryside that's also not too far away. its the perfect combination, if you ask me. i am no longer going to come back to this site. thank for to those i care about for having me here To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. City now that I am young, country when I get old...
City to make a living, country to destroy my stress... I want to live in a world of peace

City rules. Hands down. It sucks living in a town you'd miss if you blinked on the highway......I lived in little ol' tyrone, oklahoma....the only thing they had there was a restaraunt and a C-mart. last I heard the school system fell through..... Give me the city anyday....there I can get my game stuff "To escape in a simple dreamless sleep, leaving every responsibility behind,

One | You call isolation 5mins drive from the nearest house!hehehe. Try 3-5 hours drive from your nearest neighbour. We have lots of space in Australia. I live on a quarter acre block with a forest 2mins away and the city 10 mins. The Gold Coast is an hours drive south-east, the Sunshine coast an hour and a half north-east. wow .. yeah well thats isolated haha ... your right, a 5 min drive is not really isolated, but you knew what i meant ... compared to walking out your front door and being in your neighbours yard, a 5 min drive would seem isolated enough to me
I really would not want to be hours away from everything, cause then i would just get too bored, and that would kinda suck ass. .....so you seem to have it just right, you have all the forest and land, and your only 10 mins away from the city?

poor german punk | What is it that attracts you to L.V? Desert? I thought driving into Nevada at night was like entering a surreal Toon Town. Learn as if you were going to live forever. Live as if you were going to die tomorrow. --Mahatma Gandhi
