In a world of grey,

Beauty is thought to be as rare as a drop of rain landing on your tounge when your indoors.

But while most thinkers of that sort are concentrating on each drop of rain, carefully monitering its minute long life down to the ground, the knowledged appreciate the symphony of the rain as a whole. The booming percussion of the thunder, the perfect harmony of a thousand droplets cascading down the sky and melting into the earths surface. They stare awestruck as flashes of lightning create an array of special effects so grand that God himself shines through the clouds, glowing with pride and admiration.

In a world of grey,

Beauty is as out of place as a blossoming flower lighting the streets of a forgotten city; Or a desert landscape so beautiful that the wall of enlightenment around it begins to crumble.

In a world of grey,

Beauty is everywhere.

Welcome to Darkforum! This is a beautiful poem, and I love the imagery. It's really great, and quite refreshing. My only real gripe, L2 or 3, that "your" should be "you're"

excellent poem. i really enjoyed the imagery of this piece. you sure can set mood/atmosphere.. beautifully dark.

well done with the poem, you might have broken up the middle stanza a bit more, and maybe have found a different word for beautiful when discribing the desert. it kinda intrupts the flow a bit. other wise, great job and wonderful imagery.
