Envied Star

You and me,
watching the silver dive
reminding us of the distance.
Rising with the angels
but falling with the rest of us,
understanding nothing
and never feeling miserable.

You and me,
holding hands
while we watch the stars collide,
prayers on prayers that never succeeded,
hopes and dreams
that we made together,
merging forever on the vast distance
we once had to cross.

You and me,
seeing eye to eye
and seeing all we need to.
Powers all too envious,
blinded by emotion
and enjoying beauty's ignorance
from the stem of another kiss.

You and me,
filling in the hole,
vulnerable in every aspect
but safe in the knowledge
that it's never going to end this time.
Watch the stars fill the void
and watch the clouds begin to clear.

Silver tears reflecting happily
in the light of a new moon.
Shallow in the waters:
no troubles lie to cause unrest;
no passion stirred by pain
because no-one walks away this time,
and shame is but a blameless crime.
A crime we shall never see.

You and I,
walking together among the star lit fields
where the rain once took our beliefs heavenwards,
with strangers hopes, and fancied prayers.
Should we ever leave with them,
at least our dreams would tie among us,
because this time
it all came true.

Here's a poem that I wrote way back when I was 16, I just updated it recently, it's from my "harsher roots" as it were:

Leave it.
We're all the fucking same:
Nameless, ageless, genderless, raceless.
Senseless violence is the key to murder
but murder only comes in your form,
it doesn't make you different,
you're our form.
We're all the fucking same:
Faceless, placeless, lifeless, loveless.
Hateful fists of fascist dreams
take their shape only to demand and to recall
the evil of our form.
Fuck formation
and never conformatise.
Fuck admission
and forever prophesize;
the end to simple imprisonment,
you're already locked in anger
because you know you're only {us}:
The breathing, breeding, teeming profession,
another cog on the wheel of social disintegration.
You are {us}
only, and forever.

Just wrote this one:

Loving Stephan

Dead nursery,
where the children lay:
"We love them all",
a simple incomplete design.
Festered youngsters
destroyed in their wake.
"Our little angel",
quite literal. Apparent disgust,
provided with no wings
to escape the premature coffin.
The laughing in the playground
dies to silence
"We're sorry", once again.
With no noticable anger,
the death lives on.
With no opposable force,
the children cry in their coffins.
No lesson learnt in silence
for broken bones,
and broken innocense
leave the lasting mark.
"You'll learn your own way",
and that we shall.

Mummy's little soldier
never made it to the war,
Stephan's useless limbs
will walk no more,
the blackened eyes
see no more truth.
The solemn silence
breathes a precious message
that reflects
on hypocricy's tear.
"Let sleeping children lie"
he said, and all shall be forgotten,
"We always loved you"
and sometimes love is hard in a harsh environment.

While the bitter stench of cold decay
leaves the crib, slowly and carefully,
disturbing only those disturbed already,
the crying silence washes everything away.

"You'll learn your own way",
and that we will.
Anger is a gift
and we shall provide it.

Damnit, I want replies

I want to be the next person to say, your work is very emoitional and deep. I like the way the words blend together, I didn't get confused like some of the others. Good job! I liked Loving Stephan the most. Please keep writing.

us was angry. to me. also made me laugh. not laugh about you, but i don't know, it's true.
loving stephan was another great and wonderfull poem. don't know if it's your head or reality. well, it is reality somewhere anyway. it's good and you know it.

Thanx hunny, yeah {us} is pretty angry, it's a return to my roots I think. I go back every now and then, but not often. 'Loving Stephan' was just a thought, the words "Dead Nursery" came to me once, and I just went from there
