| The End of Eternity -

We stood at the cliff,
As a zephyr blew a drift.
She looked down at the shore,
At the shells, rocks, and sand.
Getting ready to part,
She began to start.
She looked out to the sea,
And asked, "Do you love me?"
"Princess," I said. "Hear these words,
"Don't go dead.
"Even if the rain stops falling,
"And the fish start crawling.
"If good becomes bad,
"And joy turns so sad.
"And if Chance lost her dice,
"While fire turned to ice.
"If black turns to white,
"And if left becomes right.
"Should snow never drop,
"And time just stop.
"Even if the ocean runs dry,
"And tears too, when one cries.
"As up turns to down,
"A smile to a frown.
"Even if existence goes away,
"And parallels run astray.
"If the wind stops blowing,
"And the grass ceases growing...
"Still if GOD should disappear,
"I'll still love you, and be here!"
"My Prince, my love! Had it been not you,
"I would let go of my life,
"As my heart would embrace a knife."
I then helped her to her horse,
And told death with no remorse,
"Hah, Death! Our love is too strong!
"You will win, you say? Hah, again, you are wrong!"
On her shoulder I did put my head,
"Princess, know that our love is not dead!"
We then rode past a garden,
And I gave her a rose.
"I love you!" she said,
As the rose kissed her nose.
Close, I held her in bliss. Sigh I gave her a kiss.
In our hearts we are free...
As my soul, she is me! |
