nice one, welcome back to df. So where have you been lately? I remember seening you around awhile back I believe.

i've been busy with other thigs, school, gym, work, that kind of stuff....I have had some inspiration lately, so I have decided to post more of my poems...thanks for noticing i wasnt here!! haha
here is one i just made up, its inspired by the boyfriend that just broke up with me...sad really, i really liked him lol.......

This Game~
I never thought you'd end it this way.
I never saw it coming.
I didn't think it would bring this much pain.
My heart inside I know is still longing.
I don't know what you're looking for or maybe it's just me.
But I can't help but feel your love for me was not true.
Your words still burn me and it's hard to make you see.
What I did wrong I'll try to fix, and maybe we'll get through.
Something tells me that it won't ever be the same.
It brings me heartache, this foolish complicated game.
How you looked at me and told me it was done.
I knew that's what you were thinking.
It hurt inside, my emotions were spun.
In a web where the world outside was shrinking.
I didn't want it to end so soon.
But there is nothing I can do.
I hope you realize what you've lost and want me to come back to you.

hmm well I am glad you came back, and the poem, well written for just off the top of your head, sorry about the break up.

thank you It sucked getting over him, but Im ok now, stuff like that happens, you just have to get used to it and move on!
I need to write some more, I'm starting to sing out and make songs now....
Im actually really looking into singing...

Well I have really lightened up on my poetry, I guess the moods Im in really do affect how i write my poetry!
here's one i just finished...

Love When We're Young~
Why cant love just shine?
Shine like the sun.
With all I have I wish he was mine.
ugh, love when we are young.
It is so easy to fall in,
but so hard to fall out.
Butterflies, smiles, shyness.
The feelings we feel.
Cries, sorrow, sadness.
These feelings are real,
and they hurt our innocent hearts.
But we are young, that is the good part.
We are strong, and we have lots of love in our hearts.
So we bounce back, and have fun.
Like the shining sun.

good, moods should effect how you write poetry, I am a firm believer in writing what you feel, and if poetry does show sometype of feeling to me, I generally don't like it, no matter how well it is written. The only problem you have to watch out for when writing what you feel is to make sure you don't repeat yourself too much. repeating a word or a line in a poem regularly is often annoying to the reader and the writer when they have past from that emotion.

oooo right, yea i tend to do that with a lot of my poems, even in essays for school and stuff, thanks for the tip, I will definitely keep that in mind, thanks alot

Im back! lol, I have written a couple new poems so here they are....

~She walks into the room and down your aisle, you can’t help but stare.
You see her everyday for a while.
Her eyes are so deep, her hair so fair.
You wish you could be the one who runs your fingers through it, maybe even hold her hand.
Be the one to tell her she’s beautiful, and brush her cheek with your hand.
Be the one to fill her heart and never spill it.
Pick it up and forever keep it.

~ I remember all the songs you used to dedicate to me.
How they fitted so perfectly with the way you felt.
I remember the way you used to look at me and say you loved me.
I forget how we let it go, how it slipped through our fingers so uncontrollably.
I forget why we stopped talking. Also why our love wasn’t enough.
I miss the way I used to feel when you would come near me.
I miss the feeling of being loved.
I miss the touch of your skin. I miss the looks on your face.
The love was there, the love was strong...
But sometime's for some reasons, love isn't fair, and the love is gone.

Never There~
He sat this one out, He always leaves me.
I should have been in the car.
It wasn’t my time to go, it wasn’t my time to leave.
God I cried, I screamed, I sobbed, I dropped.
Dropped to the ground, the hard ground where no comfort was found.
He sat this one out, he always leaves me.
The creator took him away...
From me, like the rest, he took him away, took him to a better place, the place where I don’t deserve, I should have been there too, I should've been in that car.
I should have died there....
It's no use now, I can’t bring him back.
Filling his place was hard to do and now I'm alone, God I’m so alone.
I should have been there, I should have been there with you, lying there, watching everything pass by, holding your hand so you would know it was going passed us both...

hmm wow. nice ones. only suggestion, careful with the repeating words and such.

damnit, I ALWAYS do that....I guess I dont really mean to it just comes out with the way i would say it if i were speakin out the poem in a normal way, ya kno?

yeah it is a easy habit to fall into, yet horrible to read. suggestion run through it once or twice with edit poem and change the repeat words to break it up a bit.

You have a talent of writing awesome poetry when you are sad, and when you are happy. Most people dont have that, like me, nothing good comes when i am happy.

Now im gonna read some more, i like what i see so far.

Thanks a lot, I guess I just write out emotion...I started to do it when I was like 12 and got better at it over the years....Most of the good poems come when Im not in a happy mood tho lol

some how pain is more universal then happiness, so it is easier to write about pain/sadness/etc and have people understand it.
