Somehow i doubt that.
I heard they were pretty equal in specs. Though i had my doubts with that cell processor from the beginning. If its too hard to draw the full power from that thing, defloppers will just go 'fuck this' and move to Nintendo or MS.
Pretty much what happend to the saturn. When Sega heard the PSX was aiming at 3D instead of 2D, Sega tacked on the 3D capebilities last minute. Though stilll a powerfull machine, the Saturn architecture was just too hard to program for, scaring away many 3rd party defloppers.
So i really doubt sony will tinker with the PS3 too much. Besides they already handed out deflopper kits and i dont think 3rd party defloppers will be too happy if they have to rebuild their work again because Sony cant make up its mind... Close the world. Open the neXt... |
