I Wanted To Know..Does Everybody Even Remeber The Greatest Band Ever Or is BS Just A History?

black sabbath only put out like a few albums, anyway, right? i mean, other than the self-title, sabbath bloody sabbath, paranoid, and the various live and compilation albums, what is there? i think they were really metal pioneers. and thought their work is starting to show it's age, it's still pretty good to listen to.

those were releashed when Ozzy was around
albums followed but with other singers...

it was funny. i turned everyone i know who likes black sabbath on to them. (at least i think i did) I bought the CD paranoid (actualy fyra loaned me some cash to buy it so he actualy bought it) but i bought paranoid and now like everyone likes em....

Black Sabbath are truly the founding fathers of heavy metal whether they themselves, like to admit it or not. All Hail Black Sabbath!!!!!!!!

go look in the "B" section at a major record store. there will be an entire rack of different sabbath albums.

Personally,I think Ronnie James Dio was a better vocalist than Ozzy. But no matter which singer they have,Black Sabbath still kicks ass.

black sabbath was (in ways) the manson of their era. they were the shock rock band of their time and in many ways created the template for new shock rockers to go by. i think it goes something like:

-wear black
-write songs about satan
-start rumors about eating animals
-write songs about satan

yeah, basically that's it.

Yeah, but Ozzy back in the day, and even Ozzy now could kick manson's ass at any point in time... The fact that Ozzy did a song with Coal Chamber and still remains cool is a testament to Ozzy's coolness.... In fact i think that's why we haven't heard much from Coal Chamber these days... Ozzy annihilated them after sharing a studio.

don't get me wrong, i was comparing shock value, definitely not persona or talent.

Thats the list from CDnow.com. As you can see... quite a few more than SBS, Paranoid, and self titled (granted, many of these are post-ozzy).

Sabbath was, and still is incrediable. They were the original heavy metal band. However, and I'm ready to take a lot of heat for this, I think the band was a lot better with Ronnie James Dio than it was with Ozzy. I've got live and studio tracks from both versions of them, and they sounded so much tighter and more with it without Ozzy. This is not a shot at Ozzy Osbourne! I love Ozzy as a solo artist. I think that after leaving Sabbath he put out some of the best music in the world, and having seen him twice, he puts on one of the best stage shows i've ever seen (i've been to over 300 shows and he's in my top 10). I am I the only one who feels this way, or am I just in the minority?

I agree that Dio is a good vocalist..but I've got to stay "true" to the Ozzman. To me, it's like saying, Graves makes a better frontman in the Misfits than Danzig..
