For my birthday, I got a Vibra Webcam..and though it works, it restarts my computer if I try to do a webcam conference *have someone watching me while i watch them/someoneelse* when I installed it..it said something about not having the right driver for XP, but for Windows 98, is there a patch I can download to fix this problem? because its really starting to get annoying....

Have you checked the manufacturers website for any info or an updated driver? BTW, who is the manufacturer of it

the box says its a Vibra webcam, made by Creative .. And no, I haven't checked the website, I couldn't find one for it on the box, and the little manual that came with it is in a box I can't get to right now. We rearranged my room, and all of my manuals for my electronics are in a box in my living room, that is buried now....Talk about rearranging...

If its like my cam, you'll need the number on the bottom of the camera, or the camera base. Just make sure you get the drivers for XP and not,say, ME.

theres no numbers on the bottom..and its still screwing up..and i got the 'driver' it doesn't have a model number for this camera, and the website doesn't have the camera...*kills cam*

right click My Computer & go to Device Manager to see drivers/ status /updates/ etc.
perhaps shut down & reboot, XP should detect settings & add drivers.
i used to have problems with 2 way cams due to lack of CPU speed.

just to clarify if neccessary;
right click: My Computer & click: Manage & click: Device Manager & click: Imaging devices
then right click on your cam & get properties & drivers etc

LOL my cam is doing strange things to me(on topic) as well.. i'm getting it's own program telling me it's being used by something else in my puter..*shrugs*
