Who else out there collects vinyl records??

I love them. It has been awhile since I bought any at all and just the other day I spent about 50bucks on some and bought quite a few. I found them for cheap at a store here in SLC called The Records Collector on 2100South and about 1300East. The guy there usually has crap all but he had some good stuff this time around. When I get a chance to I will list my entire collection but these are my new finds

So who else collects and what do you have??

I have the first 5 albums from Iron Maiden, Kiss Alive 2, and a couple of others i can't think of at the moment. I did at one point have the 12" for Ministry's Everyday is Halloween, and Bauhaus's 12" for Bela Lugosi is dead as well. just can't find them now for some reason or other. the only issue is i don't have a record player to play them on.

Until recently I had a phonograph and a kick ass CD Burner Player by JVC but no Reciever/Amplifier--- I just bought one though for dirt cheap--- a Pioneer VSX-505s-- I got it for $50 when they sold brand new for about $500... lol Now I need to get better speakers

lol, not hard top find good speakers bro. i think One could help you out with some ideas for a nice set. personally i like mission, and polk audio, just haven't gotten around to getting them as of yet.

I was thinking of checking out getting some Polk speakers. Right now I am using some piece of crap Phillips boom box speakers LOL

i have sony speakers in a surround set up and i think my sub is a JVC 200 watt 8 inch that punds pretty nicely

I love LPs still. Especially from bands I love I try to find their work on vinyl. I have around some 200 LPs, but wish it was far more.

Strangely I have no phonograph.

yes I love vinyl-- I have over 100 LPs and 12"'s-- I had over 200 at one time but they left my possession

I have one of New Orders first vinyl appearances as well as an original Joy Division limited 12".

My birds are on my box right now so I would have to move them to get to my records. I really have to find another stand for them LOL

ok i need to ask, what kind of birds do you have?

I have two tiny Parakeets who enjoy knocking each other off thier swings

hmm, the only birds i can sem to handle are Canaries and one Cockatiel my parents have.

There is a record shop in the city currently offloading vinyl for $2 an album and $5 for 33s.
Doesn't matter what it is, and most of it is new-release stuff from current bands.

I got the AFI 'Sing The Sorrow' special vinyl as well as some industrial and some old Kraftwerk, all up it cost about $12.

Currently my collection tends more towards 1970s/1980s rock such as Cold Chisel, Supertramp, Australian Crawl, Men at Work, Meatloaf, Van Morrison, etc.

when Cannibal Corpse Tomb of the Mutalated was released the first time i saw it was on vinyl. They wanted something like $40, or 50 for it so it got left there. I know there were a couple of DJ shops downtown Toronto that used to sell nothing but vinyl, and i mean anything you wanted on vinyl they had. been so long since i was down there, i am not sure if they are still around.
