FINALLY! a NEW starcraft game... its mainly being done by Nihilistic under license from blizzard and will be a 3/4 overhead shooter... but hey, for the horndogs out there, you play a hot psionic chick who can call down nuclear strikes...

Nihilistic?! ARGH!!! Those guys screwed everything they could when they were making Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption game, now they want to screw Starcraft?? ARGH!!! Oh well, I have to trust Blizzard though, they were always making great games and I hope they made that decision for a reason... I still have some hope left. Nihilistic guys, you better not disappoint me with this game again! ...

What it's not going to be an RTS... Well I trust Blizzard they've made great games so I'll still consider buying it.

The problem is that not Blizzard is developing this game. It does Nihilistic. Blizzard only gave a license for using Starcraft universe. If i got it right, the game is going to be some kind of action game. I'm not sure if I am actually looking forward to this game. Surely I liked the Starcraft and it's universe, but this game is going to be very different and is developed by other people.

It is quite a common thing in gaming industry to sell a license for a popular 'name', as it will attract more people to the game, even if it is totally different. So whatever the final result is going to be, it will pay off, because people will buy it just for the name. I still hope that the game is going to be a good one, but I will be sure to read reviews on it first and make my decision if the game is worth buying or not.

Finally... problem solved for me with this game... They only going to release it on X-Box, Gamecube and PS2... no PC. So, bye bye, Starcraft: Ghost , I'm not going to buy a console because of it...

From the descriptions it looks like this game is going to be very similar to what was done with Command & Conquer: Renegade (another action game based on RTS universe), though it will be using a more "stealthy" approach to the gameplay. Looks like the game will use 3rd person view and at least the design looks quite nice based on the screenshots and art.

So do you think you'll get it Aoshi??? I might be getting it since it's pirated and stuff hehehe
