I was quite overwellmed when i was watching TV late last night. when to my suprise a preview for a new movie came on the screen. Queen of the Damned was the movie before my eyes. I was happy that there was a new movie about our kind. Now people will finall realize just how strong our kind is..........

Oh dear.."our kind"...heh.
I liked the book. I'll probably go see it. And i will throw jelly bellies at anyone who goes wearing fangs.

"Our kind", eh? Well, your own personal delusions aside, I'm awaiting this film with quite a lot of trepidation. With all I've heard and seen about this film thus far, I'm expecting it to be a great disappointment.

Blade 2?!?!?!....Blade was a crappy enough rendition of the vampire genre.....

Well, I liked the Book and I will go see the movie. However, I am a bit worried that they might butcher the book a bit.

I'll tell you this much Set: Anne Rice had absolutely no hand in the screenplay for this movie...aside from the fact that it's based on 'The Vampire Lestat' and 'Queen of the Damned'...

.......well there goes my hope.

Well, I am quite interested in seeing this movie.
I have read the book five or so times and still enjoy it every time I do read it.

The first time I read it, it took me a little while to get into it, but that was merely for the fact that a lot of things were going on with work and such and I didn't have much time to read.

But, I do want to see the movie.

So, who's going to go see it?? I want to...but I've been on the official movie site and have read about it...guys, they totally butchered it. The story of Maharet and Mekare isn't even included, and apparently they've even changed the ending. They cut out half of the characters, too. I don't know...I guess I'm just too stuck on the book, I have the story in my mind the way that it was written. Although, I do have to admit that though they might have seriously changed the story, it does look good. I'll go see it just because it's based on one of my favorite books. I'll give it a fair chance.

They cut out the twins? Well..i wont see it.

Yeah, they totally cut out the part of the twins. That really sucks. It kills the story for me. If you go visit the official movie site you can read everything...they tell you basically everything that they took out of the novel. I'm going to go see it anyways, although I probably won't like it too much.

Yeah well someone's delusional......... Well don't expect it to be as good as the first one.....Most sequels don't live up to the original, so don't go with great expectations....

haha...I saw the previews for that.....and It doesn't look too good....It looks alright.....The story is kind of too fake.....well......ah it's ok......Don't know enough about it anyway

Well, as far as I'm concerned I liked it... there are MANY things I did not dig about the flick, but the costumes and scenery was more than enough to hold my interest... and of course the weed helped...j/k. I never expected it to be as true to the book as Interview was, so I tried to keep that in mind. It was a little too commercial for me, and getting Korn to do the band was lame, and I think the acting was over hammed, but all that aside... I enjoyed it for what it was. Just my oppinion.

i saw "queen of the damned" opening night... it was a really good movie all and all. good visuals, good effects, good scenery etc.
but, if you're an obsessive anne rice fan (like me) it sucked compared to the book. they left out some of the most important parts of the movie, and changed the story line.

but... that's hollywood. i wasn't honestly expecting them to follow the book exactly though.

so, if you're planning on comparing it to the book, you're going to be dissapointed. but if you go into it open-minded, you'll enjoy the movie.
