So.. there's a new Dungeons and Dragons movie coming out. Holy Christ, I hope it's better than that last live action one. The one with a Wayans brother and that kid from Lois and Clark?

I can't find much on it, other than it's not so much a sequel to the other one. It supposedly shares the same villain. And I can't find much else on it.

Anyone heard anything?

Shooting continues in Lithuania on a new Dungeons & Dragons movie. The movie is a Warner Bros. release produced by Silver Pictures and directed by Jerry Lively. Though this latest movie project shares a villain with the previous D&D movie, it is not intended as a sequel. Representatives of Wizards of the Coast, Inc. have been working closely with the production team in an advisory capacity. Look for more information to be released soon in Dragon Magazine

poor Jimmy... i guess him and Marlon got cut out of the sequel sometime in the last year or two... last time i heard, they were both signed and ready.

I just watched it on Sci Fi a bit ago. Much better than the first one, I think. It felt kinda rushed. Seemed like a lot of story to try and tell in two and a half hours. Maybe it would have been better as a miniseries. But definitely entertaining.

yeah but scifi is stingy with their mini-series these days, they always have to make a test movie first.

I thought it was great though definately rushed. Scifi doesn't have any problem at all doing mini-series. I think it was more a financial thing as it did really have some costly visual effects. But yes, if anyone out there is monitoring tevo recordings mine casted a yes vote for more.

the cartoon series has been re-released in a dvd boxset so i thought it might be that there was a new film coming to the screen.

No. No new film to screen. Sci-Fi delights in taking "dead" ideas and making them movies or mini-series. I am hoping they do the same with Serenity if the movie does well.

I was all set for some new Firefly action. But after seeing the movie... and those two THINGS happening....

I'm not sure it'd be the same.
