Is Mtv as cool as it used to be?

Do you honestly think someone would vote "yes" for this? At Darkness.com? Shyeah. We're too Goth for that.

Mtv only plays mainstream stuff. There's all those damn teeny bopper bands videos played. I mean how many goddamn times can you watch brittany shake her ugly ass?

Did this question really need to be asked? I thought this was a given...

the only thing i like on mtv is beavis and butthead. that and the ONE TIME they played a tool video...

Perhaps they should follow the Dead Kennedy's advice...and go off the air.

anything MTV associates itself blows ass. case in point:

- "dude, where's my car?"
- joe's apartment
- any of their "riveting" programming
- carson daily

Now now kids, let's not pretend that MTV was NEVER cool... Just because we can all be snobby now and look down on the fact that the few times they ever play videos, they're the same 3 mainstream bands time and again, and the fact that said videos are inbetween the other 23.5 hours of stupid fashion nonsense/interview with someone unrelated to music/about the latest teeneybopper movie/special on drugs or aids/stupid 'comedy'/ type shows, doesn't mean we all didn't watch beavis and butthead and headbangers ball in highschool.

Elitism is like makeup... a little can look good, but too much just looks ridiculous.

All hail Alliance of Concerned Men. I'm old enough to remember when MTV actually played music! (yes kids, at one point in time, MTV was actually Music Television, as opposed to The Real World Network) Hell, I've still got my beat to shit Headbanger's Ball T-shirt. It's my personal opinion that the world is in a sad state of affairs when I can find more metal on VH1! MTV is dead, and there's no resurrecting it, they should just pull the plug on the power and bury it along with the USA Cartoon Express. (christ i'm dating myself with this post)

Hmm, it's sad to see that someone voted yes..but, at the same time it's most likely a fan of limp bizkit, korn, eminem, disturbed, etc.

I still enjoy some MTV, but that's simply b/c I don't have cable, and it's not MTV it's MTVX..

Now its pathetic and i havent watched it since junior high.(which is also when i stopped listening to the radio) the other day my sister-in-law was watching it and i did not recognize one band or song. Some band came on and she told "I should like them cuz there freaks"
It was a horribly untalented band wearing masks and contacts...i forget their name .Oh my god Moby was on MTV. I was so surprised to see someone i know!!! uhmmm...that is all.
