Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance record of long matches.
(For the record, I only play on hard, and only with characters with Level 4 or 5. Otherwise it's just not fun playin Scorpio to the win all the time. Quan Chi to the resuce! Sub Zero beats! Yeah, anyway. First guy is usually at Difficulty Level of 80%, increasing by 2 incriments for every guy after.)

Playing as Quan Chi vs Reptile: 32 matches before giving up (I had to go to sleep)

Playing as Sub Zero vs Lu Mei (Lin Mie?): 13-15 Matches before winning.

Playing as Sub Zero vs Radian: 7 Matches before going falling asleep.

This is mainly to show off how addicted I am to the game, but if you've done anything like this, please post your "Numbers of Addiction".

Mortal Kombat: DA was pretty easy dude. Barakka all the way. Dominated the computer, even on hard, and was doing pretty well online utnil I moved on.

I believe the key to the game is variety. The comptuer's AI will keep track of moves and even combos that you do, and if you repeatedly try the same things over and over, the computer learns to anticipate and counter it.

And fuck people who use the likes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Don't get me wrong, they're probably my two favorite characters story wise, but EVERYONE is good with one of them, but most of those people are too afraid to try someone different or new. That's why I took Barakka as mine. He's a throwback to II, but still "new" enough for me to have to completely relearn him.

Oddly though, I'm more addicted to Puzzle Kombat than the actual Kombat. It's just to damn addicting.

I'd rather play Soul Calibur 2. But you are right it seems that everyone tends to stick with Sub Zero and Scorpion. Stranely enough I like using the women characters due to the fact they are usually faster. I like characters that are quick.

I rock at Soul Calibur II as well. All about Ivy. I hate that she's an odd looking dyke, but her weapon is just too sick for both offense and defense. I piss people off with Ivy.

And next month SC III comes out. Oh yes, I can't wait.

Are you sure your not referencing to the other MKA? The new mortal Kombat but with the (almost) same guys and moves? My version doesn't have Bakkra, or Chess Kombat, and the like. But I did try that game. I liked the chess combat. However, I won't buy it. Shoalin Monks I might buy when it comes out.

But I did play the first DA as well. I used Raiden or Reptile. Whooped ass with Reptile, then used Raiden on the bosses because of his riducously long weapon.

I played Shao-Lin Monks last night, and it's a pretty sick game. The only thing that sucks a dick is that in two player co-op you can't control the camera view, and it really fucks with some of the jumps in the game.

And there are a few "puzzles" in there that took us a bit to figure out, because they weren't obvious or stated puzzles. Like for instance, throw a guy onto the spikes so you can jump on top of his body and then up to the ledge.

i hope im thinking of the right one, but yeah, i admit, i play as the scorp, he kicks ass and his combos are so easy. i always, always, try and beat story mode first and i got all the way to the end and it makes you go back to being the old guy that cant do shit but kung fu. no big sword or weird power moves and the chick you have to fight is impossible. his combos were seriously 10 to 12 buttons, so i decided, fuuuccckkkk iiiitttt

Your thinking of the newer one, not the orignal DA for Game Cube. I never got that far on the one your talking about though. Though I'm sure I'd say fuuuccckkkk iiiitttt to. I can't memorize 7 button combos let alone 10

most hours of gaming in one chunk is - 105.

five days of gaming. 2 hours of sleep per day. lots of coca-cola original, and a friends mom who makes us food and brings it to us so we can eat and play no breaks.

these days contained 2 psx's, two tvs, two pcs. we played linkup command and conquor retaliation, final fantasy 7+8 and tekken 3 s/s. we'd regulary get together and play c+c linkup for a couple of days solid.
