This game is great, its nice to get a non-fantasy based RPG. I have had a lot of fun on it so far, my only major complaint is that it has so many cinematics that sometimes you find yourself watching videos for 10-15 minutes straight.
The graphics are awesome, the story line is plausible, and the combat system is fun -however the dialog can be slow, and the videos are mandatory (not only the first time, but every time you watch them.)

I've been watching the game with interest, but since I've thus far refused to buy a 360, I'm out of luck unless they release a version for the PC. Bioware is top notch when it comes to RPGs. I still get nostalgic and pull out Baldur's Gate I and II from time to time for another run-through.

You are locked into a human character as your primary person, however you have three people in your squad at all times (once you acquire them - which is pretty early in the game)
A buddy of mine has raved about this game and well I have really thought about getting it. Shadow, I was adverse to buying a XBox 360 but since my son is a huge Halo fan we decided to get one and split it. so fari has been a pretty good system, but in all honesty I would still rather a PS3
You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

My neighbors down the block just got the red ring of death on theirs, after having the system just over a year. They've been playing...guess what? Halo 3.
Ah well. I'll likely be getting Bioshock for Christmas, so that should tide me over until prices go down again, or there are enough games to convince me to get a PS3 instead.

I had Mass Effect, played it for three days, and hated the experience. I simply could not get into the story at all. I felt like sleep would be a better way to spend my time. *shrug* I was bummed but I got a better game in its stead, so all's well.
