Hellooooooo


I just got this game yesterday, and well.. it's weird.

Take Resident Evil, keep the zombies but change the scene to a base on Mars. Lose umbrella, and also have it so none of the characters *save the one locked up for like three hours* has a weapon. Now have your first guy run through the base, lalalalala... go here, there, find this, open door, find that, see a guy floating... unlock the one door for the other guy, and switch to him.

Wander about with that guy, get a pop-gun (toy gun), laugh when the "Nondead" thingie takes a bite out of him, load the game back up, wander about, get some items, switch to the other guy, see a little symbol flashing up in the corner of the screen, and suddenly realize that your other guy has lost about three fourths of his life. How?


Well while you were waddling about with your damn japanese bastard guy, your african-american was just standing there while a "Nondead" walked up and started munching on him. Since, of course, you were busy doing shit with your japanese guy, you were stuck not realizing that your african american guy was dying. By the time you switch to him, he's dead.... load game.. make sure that doesn't happen by entering a safe room :p


Waddle about, wonder what to do, realize that by going back into the one room you can grab a gun since you just saw it while running by it, laugh evilly and then realize that you agree with the black guy, it's a woman's gun. :p


Then punch your way through some shit, get pissed since it takes 6-10 shots to take down the "Nondeads" and they just get back up after you go away for so long.




And all of this is done on the psx.. not the ps2! Most probably you don't even think about how awesome that is, but in a sense let me explain it to you this way:


You RARELY see a game keep track of other things besides the location of the characters... so when it actually keeps track of how long a "nondead" has been down and it gets back up and actually walks over to your one guy, WHILE YOU'RE CONTROLLING ANOTHER GUY IN A COMPLETELY OTHER SPOT FAR FROM THAT PLACE it's pretty damn awesome... annoying but awesome.


Also the "puzzles" are harder then those found in RE... pretty much you get items like a magnetic checker, a remote controllable car, and your one character starts with lipstick (I won't say which one)


Toss in the fact that it doesn't have the shitty constant moaning you hear in the RE games, and also it has some voice acting that isn't that bad (although seriously low volume compared to the music, which in turn is the only volume related thing you can turn up specifically).... and you have a good game.. great actually. The only gripes I have are the controls and camera.. like RE it has prerendered and those just suck... and so on and so forth. :p
