The Ring is, hands-down (my pants), one of the greatest horror films ever made. It can easily be compared to The Exorcist and is an awesome experience for about everyone.

I can agree to that first statement... but I was never really a fan of exorcist... kudos for the subject matter, technical features, and whatnot... but, as a whole, exorcist just doesn't scare me. As such, I can't classify it as horror. I prefer to think of it as a guide to pissing off christians while affirming their beliefs.

There are WAY worse films! Now 'Nightmare On Elm Street 2' may very well have been the weakest of the series, but it is still a damn fine movie. And 'House Of 1000 Corpses' was Great. The Cinematography alone was Oscar worthy.

For WORST Horror I would stick to the relm of Shitpiles like, 'Jason Goes To Hell' 'Wishmaster 3' 'Trolls 2' and 'Stacy' '

hey..nto to get back on topic or anything..but i heard they were going to cast sean william scott to play ash...again somthing i heard from by boyfriend who read it somewhere.. dont know if there is a lick of truth to it..but atleast he can handle the physical comedy parts that cambell threw in..

'if chins could kill: confessions of a b-movie actor' is a great book, it's a must read for any amateur filmmaker/movie lover/bruce campbell obsessive. easily the funniest and most entertaining autobiography/journal type of book i've read.

i haven't heard anything about sean william scott, but a name that's been making the rounds quite frequently is justin theroux. now, there's no one out there who will ever be able to compete with bruce campbell's ash, but i think justin could potentially turn in a pretty decent effort. also, sam raimi, in an interview for chud.com, said that after spiderman 3 he'd love to go back and make a fourth evil dead movie, so i wouldn't count out the original gang continuing the old movies just yet. i think these new movies are just a way for sam to have fun with his new production company.

i never got all the way through 'if chins could kill' but i loved what i did read about it...especially the conditions that the crew went though just to make the movies...and how many times Sams brother got stuck playing ...i think they said shimp...in girls cloths
