I had the pleasure of playing this extremely fun game a few weeks ago and plan on getting it once the holiday bills are gone (you know, actually BUYING a PS2 to play it on!)...

the game play options are amazing, multiple modes, entertaining storyline, hookers who jack up your health meter while bobbing on ole'oneeye... special options like the hilarious PCP option (u can find it in the hosptial area hidden to the right of the top of the stairs in the first city) which packs quite a punch... insane stunts... insane stunts with the TANK!...

anyone else had a go? what did u think?

everywhere i go and anyone i talk to say this game is awesome..
too bad i don't have a ps2.. the pc version is out april or earlier.

love that game... talk about an improvement over the first two.

i have heard plans for an x-box release, other than that i don't know much.
i suggest everyone just wait for the pc version, cause that's almost certainly gonna be the most advanced port of the game.
where else can you get 1024 * 768 and higher in 32 bit color? nowhere, cause the tv doesn't support rez's higher than 640 * 480( if i remember correctly).

I play GTA3 whenever I'm at a friend's house, I love it. Certainly better than listening to him babble at me.

well i just bought my PS2 and yesturday I splurged and got both GTA3 and MGS2...

own them is even better than i imagined.

anyone know the codes for GTA3? i have a hankerin to pop some hookers, diablos, and pigs with the sniper rifle... well... the hookers only after they've "upped" my "health"

This is the reason I have not been on as much lately, GTA3, from the very first time I played it I went out and sold my VCR and my moped just to buy a PS2 and only this game, I"ve been glued to my T.V. ever since then, this game is like a drug, fuck Final Fantasy, fuck darkforum, I've found my new addiction.

I like to get six stars and have the army after me, then I sit on top of a building with my bazooka and blow up their tanks, I figured out that you can get a hooker, get 125 health, and then quickly drive her back to your garage and use her whenever you want.

That is a pretty sweet code, I like being the little old lady and toting aroung a rocket launcher

The quick turns code is really handy, I don't know it by heart, but I'm sure you could find it at gamerevolution or gamewinners, when you have it in you can just push L3 and you'll jump high into the air.

fucking brilliant game!!! i love getting a bat and beating people up and picking up hookers is so funny then killing them to get ur money back hehehe! Startin riots and getting a tank also made the game very fun oh and in the 2nd level getting cool cars from the multi story and trashing em on jump and doing stunts ruled!! hehehe i love this game

currently im enamoured with FFX for the duration... but for those GTA3 freaks out there, there's a niftry Dukes of Hazard/James Bond-Live and Let Die jump right as you get to shoreshide vale... as soon as u cross the bridge to dry land, take a right down the dirt road and you'll see where you end up... to actually GET to the jump you have to go roundabout the dam... took me a week to find it once i saw it, but the stunt its hilarious... especially doing it with either the tank (sped up by firing the turret backwards) or the dodo (now THAT was fucking hilarious)

I think that if the government handed every person a PS2 and a copy of this game the crime rate would severely drop, everyone would be to busy breaking the law without taking any risks considering you can always just reload your game, that they wouldn't have time to go out and do stupid shit running the risk of getting caught....

not neccesarily..there would still be some people who enjoy the "benefit" of mugging people or killing someone who really pissed them off
