O.k. what is your favorite game for a console pre-1995. I don't want any of the new games. Mine personally are the classics Zelda, metroid, Battletoads, Excitebike, Mortal kombat, and a whole bunch of others that I can't remember right now

i used to have a Sega Megadrive i don't know when. was addicted to Xmen and Sonic the Hedgehog

and ages ago my dad had this prehistoric "computer" with a taperecorder connected to it... i had a cassette with this Boulder Dash game, it was ace!

Snake Rattle N Roll, Marble Madness, Donkey Kong Jr, Pilotwings, Super Mario Bros 3, Zelda 3 and the first TMNT game stand out as good games from back then. Out of the lot of them I think I`d go for Zelda: A Link to the Past as my favorite.

Super Mario Kart for the SNES, which I still own and a game for the SNES called ShadowRun which I also own

Other games I loved where the Original Street Fighter II, Sonic (which I got recently on the Sonic Compilation Disc for the Cube) and Sim City on the SNES too. I almost bought the Midway Collection the other day which has quite a few old games on, including MK I MKII and MK III

Oh yeah ToeJam & Earl 2 was real cool, I owned that at one point too, I also just remembered Pitfighter too and just how cheezy it was

The original Road Rash for the Sega. That game kicked ass...I could play it for hours.

Didn't the updated Asteroids (for PS1 or 2, can't remember) have a retro setting so you could play the original arcade version?

I was playing the original Zelda the other day. I played until I got frustrated. I am SO used to my 3-D graphics now. I'm ruined!

After I played Zelda I played some Megaman. Same deal. But still fun! I love side-scrollers and the like.

ok im sure i missed some but, i mean think about it, thats all i play everyday besides ff7 & tactics ive got alot of favorites

Ummm sik Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy are both owned by Square Enix, just incase you forgot. They can make rip-offs. That and I don't remember which one it is, but in the progression the final fantasy adventure game is the one that sets-up secret of mana(seiken densetsu 2 in japan,) The of course there is Secret of Mana 2(Seiken Densetsu which was never released here in the U.S. Which is where Legend of mana comes in as it is the U.S. sequal to Secret of mana.
