Ok as i have yet to get a gamepad for some of the games i have. I am starting to get back into the sprt games and was looking for one to buy. as i know there are a lot of gamers on darkforum, and i am not sure which of you use the computer for your games, i was hoping to get everyones opinion on which one is the best to use for all the games. Oh and so far i am looking at the Gravis Gamepad pro usb to use. You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

Yeah, my two recommendations are the Gravis pad you're lookin at, and the Microsoft Sidewinder series. Both'll give you good gameplay; I'd just check price differences. I personally use the original Sidewinder that they don't make anymore (just cuz it's compatible with the emulators I use), but the newer ones are just as good, if not better.

for the racing sims i was looking at just egtting a steering wheel. thought it would make playing the game much better and more realistic. Oh and since i pretty much sucked at GT2 with just the controller, and i never did get the wheel for it, i pretty much stopped playing it. i own a wheel aswell (flight stick too) but i just found the wheel to be harder to set up and took a lot of fun out of some games. i've done some amateur racing from time to time and a PC wheel just is no-where near the real thing, as far as sim goes, so i get more fun with the Rumblepad.

No i played Driver on the PS1, and honestly didn't much care for the game. Though i downloaded the demo for the F1 Championship and used the keyboard, i thought it might be much better with a steering wheel. I guess i prefer some of the sim games to Driver.
Oh and i just took a look at the Gravis Elininator gamepad, fits nicely into my hands i'm just not to sure about the quality of the product over the stuf fi have heard of about the gamepad pro i previously mentioned You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster.
