I hope none of you are talking about Doom 3 on the computer, cause the likelyhood that anyone's computer could run it is slim to none.

I myself am awaiting Lineage II (I think it just came out), Final Fantasy XII (Always awaiting the next in that series), and perhaps another Parasite Eve. The new Mortal Kombat should be fuckin' wicked with it being online. Now I can prove I'm the fuckin' god. Lmao.

First of all.... the topic is Console gaming.... not PC Gaming.... big difference there... secondly ID has not released System Specs needed yet for this game... though I have heard that you will need a 1Gig chip or better and about 512MB of RAM as well as at least a 128MB Graphics card..... they will have Graphics and sound settings which you can customize to fit your system..... if you have a 256MB Graphics card and a 2Gig or better chip and 1Gig of Ram you will be able to play this game easily.... or buy it for the X-Box and no worries

if that were that case bro, why is it that pretty much everyone company is afraid of the release of Doom3. I have heard it reported from everything from Nvidia, to Intel are wondering if they will be able to run the game smoothly enough on their highest speed CPU

The original DOOM pushed the high-end system requirements when it was released. The rumors are that DOOM III will do the same.

Either way, it is only a rumor at this point, but I will upgrade as much as possible if necessary.

Yeah.. quite true... but as all games do it will have fine tuned adjustments for play on lower end systems... elsewise they will take a huge hit from those who have the money to spend on the game but not on upgrading to the max system requirements.....

ya, but tuning it down will detract from the game. i had to do that with unreal 2 and it still ran like shit on my system. keep lagging on me so i gave up on the game till i build a better system. We shall see what the requirements are whent he next game comes out. I was surprised to hear what the requirements for Half life 2 were going to be and that a low end system such as mine might be able to run it with the proper video card
