I'm trying very hard to find a free webhost that lets me remotely link pictures, or upload large files.

Currently I have a few sites on freeservers, and I can't do either.

I need a place to store large images, MP3 samples and something that will let me host images for use on other pages.

There probably is no such thing anymore. Free remote linking is primarily used for storing files for leeching, and the providers of those fileservers are not getting anything back for their webspace and bandwith (no banners ect). It is not commercially profitable.

as Aeternus said, there really are none left anymore. maybe you can find a friend and leech on to some of their bandwidth and disk space? how about spending the $10 a month for a host? I started with a free website, moved to a cheap host then got a few dedicated servers, some virtual hosting and now even do my own hosting. advice: if you want more control, space and lifetime from your online project...pay the money to ensure it! check out hostingforums.com or webshosttalk.com
