A couple of years ago I owned DOA3 and was really into it until it was stolen from me. It was a very depressing time for me because not only that game but multiple games and console was stolen from me. Two days ago I became very happy when my friend bought me DOA3 so that we could play(he loves the game also). He does not own an Xbox so he gave the game to me. Since we have had the game we have been playing near nonstop.
Anyway, my point is that DOA kicks ass and I would like to find out if there are other people out there that love it as much as I do. In this thread we can swap DOA stories and experience. We can talk about new DOA releases. Which reminds me, I heard about an online DOA re-release have DOA 2 for Xbox. Also, I do not mind people that hate DOA posting their opinions either. I like to hear other points of view.
So, gather all ye DOA faithfull and join me in fighting game paradise where we will indulge in virtual violence that only hurts when we try to imagine the pain.
I like DOA and all but I like Tekken or Soul Calibur more... but it's a great game if you're in a party with friends, Tekken and Soul Calibur just feels much more competitive maybe it's because of the lack of good looking female characters... hmmm. But anyway yeah it's a great game; not sure about DOA beach volleyball though just seems like an easy way to make money if you ask me. I mean we all know that sex sells...

you bring up some good points. I believe that DOA3 is a great game overall before disecting it. I look pass the boobs and look straight at the fun factor and replay value. Which was why I felt that this thread had to be made. I always go back and play DOA3 and don't regret doing so.
actually.... now that i think about it.... i really dont know why i dont like doa more than say...tekken.... i mean i should... but some how...tekken feels more.... fluid...is it.... or...maybe its the buttons... i do feel kind of awkward with the counter button... although i do like the combo throws..... and... the levels are better than tekken.... with the falling and stuff...
i really dont know why i dont like doa as much as i should...

Which is odd because I don't like Tekken at all and I could not tell you why. I have always felt much more comfortable with DOA. I am guessing that some gamers just have a certain taste for some games and not others.
I think Marvel vs. Capcom is a classic on some level and guilty gear has its place in many gamers' hearts. But overall they are not big classics. Now, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are classics. I also believe that Killer Instinct is a classic but with lesser rank on the fighter classic list.
