anyone know anything about the album content? i like "counting the days" (new single) a lot. i love collective soul..their style never bores me even if it never changes. usually, their singles are the only good tracks though. discuss.

i'd like to hear about it too. i have all the other albums, but i've noticed an odd trend they're pickin up that i'm not sure i like. blender fell off the raw talent style and moved into more.. well.. it seems like it was slapped together a little faster.

funny, cause they took a 4 year break before making this album...describing it as "the band members might have loved eachother, but they didn't like each other"....i dunno how fast they threw the album together. When I listened to it, it didn't catch me past the single (which their singles ALWAYS rock)...but like their first album, "Shine" and their second album which I can't recall the name of it (best one cause of most single-type tunes)...they're not extremely talented musicians. Their composition stays within the realm of a safe (and therefore grey) area of catchyness but completely lacking in innovation. Kinda like Linkin' Park. ugh. *shudders*..

In short, just download the single, "Counting the Days" and love em' for that reason and see them live if you can, because they're a very sexy (not necessarily "i want to fuck you 'sexy' ") band and i'm sure would put on a fun show. Too bad I moved outta Calgary cause they're playing there on the 28th of this month..

their sophomore album was self titled. confuses a lotta people.
i found the style of "disciplined breakdown" to be something i'd never heard. now if there's more of that kinda style out there, i'd like to know about it.

but yeah, i probably won't be buying this album until i hear about it from more people.
