I get the hankering to pick up the old dice bag and join an AD&D gaming group but my schedule is too helter skelter to make any set plans. I am thinking that this Everquest might be just the thing for when I got time for gaming.
Anyone here play Everquest? What can you tell me about it? Likes, dislikes?

If you go buy the Playboy from maybe 3 months ago or so, there is a really enlightening article about Everquest. I can't really be sure which issue it was in without digging it out of my closet and I don't wanna do that.

Everyone will give you alot of flak about playing Everquest, but it's really not a big deal. Personally, I'd wait it out for EQ2 or Star Wars: Galaxies (or Shadowbane, which is already out now). EQ games in general are not very strong in PvP, so I'd stay away from them if that is what interests you. MMORPGs are always good for some amusement.

I would advise again Ultima Online, though. It used to rock pretty damn hard with it's PvP system, but it's just gay and waiting to die now.

Dont get EQ2! Get the everquest box set with all the expansion's i use to play it Now i stopped but will go back this summer Now im playing Asheron's call. That game I think is better than EQ. Asheron's call is anoyher one if you want to play a mmorpg. Dont get asherons call 2 fallen kings it's crap and wont last more than a year.
