Did anyone ever see American History X. I saw it And I love that movie it is so good. Anyone else have anything to say about it good or bad?

It was one fucked up, and KICKASS movie, if you ask me. Which you did.

Rogue - maybe you're just fucking around, but go watch the movie. I'm not about racism at all, and I doubt any of these other guys are.

[MAJOR PLOT SPOILERS]

It's about the transition of a white supremisist into neutrality, after all of what he's been doing is shoved onto him. He spends time in jail, and meets some fellow nazi-type-fellows there. He starts to resent them because they buy marijuana (or something like that) from a Mexican, and he thinks they're selling out or some shit. They didn't like his resentment, so they buttfucked him while he was taking a shower, and the guard-on-duty simply turned his back and closed the door. After being raped, he get his head pounded against the wall a few times.

Alone in prison, a white supremasist, no friends to back him up. He was getting closed-in on by the blacks. Except.. at one point during his day, he always folded towels with a black man. The black guy would always talk to the whitie, and he never openned up. To make a long story short, the nazi/black man eventually start talking and discussing shit. He learns alot about himself, and he finds out on his last day out of prison, that the very same black man kept protected his ass from getting ganked by all the other blacks in the prison.

To make a long story short, partly because I can't remember alot of it, the ex-nazi guy shoots a very powerful white supremisist and kills him, and makes a run for it. He little brother, who used to idolize him, makes disgusts him. He tries to explain what happened to him in prison, but his brother thinks he's a pussy or something. I can't remember the end, but you get the picture..

Like I said, maybe you were joking around, but I'm just making sure no one is getting misjudged. I fucking hate white supremisists, black supremisists, whatever-supremisists and racism in general. But American History X is a damn good movie, with a good theme.

Brilliant film, I love the scene where he stands in the mirror and looks at his swastika tattoo. Couldn't watch the kerb bit, had to look away.

Yeah.. when he went to that big white supremisist meeting, with all of his old friends and little brother.. he was talking to the grand high whitie or whatever he was, just some authorative/admired guy.. he shot him. Well, he killed him.. I haven't seen the movie in a long time.

im pretty sure he just decked the guy...

and the tone of the conversation denoted levity when talking about the murder of the car theif... therefore I got bitchy... yes its a powerful moment, but it sounded like people were making light of it...

I LOVED this movie. I think this is probably Edward Norton's best work.

you were right up to there. Derek played by Edward Norton al;so recived books and such from Sweeny his english teacher in highschool who was also black. Sweeny pursuades the board to let Derek out early on good behavior and for his cooperation to catch the leaders of the supremists groups. He finds out that his brother Danny played by Edward Furlong has joind the DOG his old skin head group and is getting too close to where he was when he went to jail. So he get sout of Jail and goes to set things right, he goes to Cameron (the brains of the skinhead groups) and tells him to leave Danny alone and that he himself was out and wanted nothing to do with the skinhead bullshit anymore because it was just that bullshit. Cameron gets pissed and tells him that he and not Derek is more important to Danny now than ever, so Derek kicks his ass and runs off to find danny and to get away(theres also a giant skinhead raly outside) Eventually afte rone of his old skin friends finds out what he did he aims a gun at him, Derek grabs it from him and gets away. He then explains EVERYTHING to Danny on the walk home, who discovers the truth behind the bullshit skinhead crap and decides then and there to stop. Then theres the ending, the next morning when Danny is being walked to school by Derek he is in the bathroom and a black kid he exchanged violent words with the day earlier comes in and shoots him and he dies. THe movie ends there essentially with the final message that Hate is baggage, and basically who are you carrying it for?


The movie American History X was FUCKING PHENOMINAL!
Even my black friends and a black kid (Ray) who was living with my family at the time LOVED it.

Very moving film.

mmm... i cant decide whether Milla's in RE was in good taste or just gratuitous...

regardless... it was subtle and in somewhat good taste.... and hell it was Milla.... now she does something for me....
