maybe someone can help me make sense of the madness my husband has for collecting such...items...he's not alone, i have several customers at work that come in asking for obsolete games for their archaic systems...and then they preceed to list off their collections...one guy had a system i've never heard of before...he was quite proud of it...i don't remember what it was, but he said it was before the atari systems came out...
what's the madness about? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Nostalgia for one and some people are really into retro games. Making any kind of collection can also give a sense of accomplishment or is due to a drive towards order and control in that person`s hobby. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

they are antiques that someone can collect and watch reach antique status within your lifetime. Pain is Nature's way of saying "At least your still alive!"

My brothers had a Sears console from the 70's. It had 3 games; race car, pong, and hockey. It also had 4 paddles, including one built into the console. Don't know if it's still around or not...

I still wish I could find Sega Genesis games around, because there are so many of them that I enjoyed as I was growing up, and I really want to get my hands on them. Homer: Ah he has all the money in the world. But you know what he can't buy? Marge: What is that Homy? Homer: *Thinks* A Dinosaur!!!

thrift stores too...a lot of people just toss them there, rather than the garbage...oddly enough, they're pricey little cartridges...my husband has only sonic, and one other game...
my daughter does enjoy playing spyro on the playstation...video games were never anything i could grasp... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I don't know if it was the Sears system, but I had one that had Pong... We didn't have a pause button back then, so whoever I was playing with would have to help me adjust the paddles just right so that the little ball would hit and go in a perfectly straight line. Then I'd move my controller down so that the ball would just go back and forth across the TV screen while we took a break... I love old games. There is such simplicity found in those old games when there weren't a thousand buttons, non-linear gameplay, and 3-D graphics.
I have an Atari, a Nintendo, a gameboy, a Sega Genesis, a Super Nintendo, a playstation, a Nintendo 64, and a Playstation 2. I sold my X-Box, my panavision (I think that's what it's called), and this old thing we had that played a "Mario Tennis" game when you looked inside it. I'm a hardcore gamer for life, man. >:-) To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
