I met the woman of my dreams. She truly is everything I've alwasy wanted. She's a great friend, we've spent plenty of time together, yadda yadda. I can never have her, we can never be together. Ever. And for that matter, I'll never see her again.
Now how much does that suck?

Now how much does that suck? | Well if what you say is true, then yeah it does suck. But I wouldnt rush to that conclusin but then again, I do not know much of the situation. Maybe if you explained it to me?
No matter what I always believe in the saying "things happen for a reason". And it is true, at least I find it so with every problem and mishap I have. Everything happens in the better interest for you even if it doesnt seem like it at the time.

how does one go about picking out a vibrator as a gag gift? because in the vein of gag gifts it shoulf be ridiculously oversized so that it must be stored in plain view for future jokes... but being a good friend would mean also buying on that was *cough* "serviciable"...
i see three problems here... how to ask her... "size preference"... how to make it so it fits the gag gift rules... and how to make it so it fits.. um... her...

Well i would say ask her bf if she had one, but that might not blow so well, lol. So i shall go with this....just make it into a joke when asking her about it. Or be completely serious, most would think that you were joking.
