ok...so here's my situation:
i'm 20 and this girl is 22 years old. So i really like her...but the thing is she's my close friend's sister!! =( and i told him about how i like her and he says, "well its my sister's decision if she likes you.."

even though he said that i think he's weird'd out by the whole situation.

although i barely get to see her we always talk online but nothing more...
i'm not quite sure why i'm all over this girl because i barely spend time with her yet she's constantly on my mind...
she just gives me the impression of being such a great companion... i thought it would be worth my time and effort to persue her...

we're always joking around about sex and me asking her out... --i dunno it's kind of a wierd situation i'm in...

am i just ultra naive or what???
please give me your input on this because i'm going crazy..

Your solution is simple.

talk to her.

OK it may not sound simple "What do I say?" but it is, bite the bullet, suck in your gut and go for it.

it sounds like you've idealised her to be this companion when there's no real indication that she is anything more than a friend. but the only thing you can do is spend some time with her to find out.

It's kinda tricky dating the best friend's sister. Whenever you two get in a fight your friend will be torn between takin up for his sister or taking up for his friend. Like I said, it's really tricky, I'm not sure if I would do it or not.

yeah just talk to her...dont be shy i doubt an older girl would go for a shy boy...get movin.

youve got to be a little less than optimisitic. make sure this girl is worth losing you friend over, even if you never expect it to come to that. Im dating my best friends "brother" and I had to lose her to do it. I never thought it would come to that but it did. the sad thing is...it was worth it. Im happy with him, and im better off with out her.

As far as her not returning your feelings, you have to talk to her about it. It is her decision, and I mean hey...its hard to turn down a sweetheart, so just be yourself, and talk to her, directly would prolly be best.

as far as losing my friend...
i don't think tha'ts going to happen because i told him that he really liked his sister and he says "i don't care..."
i'm not sure what that really means....hahah considering he's such a pothead and that's what he always says....
(trying to get him to quit)

but yea....i dunno cause i have a weird relationship with his sister... i mean slowly i'm talking to her more and we're becomming friends....which is pretty good i guess.

well...maybe i just put her on a pedestal and created an image of the perfect girl, but hey i think it's worth the effort...

all my life i've been giving myself excuses to go up to girls and i thought to myself - pretty soon i'll be 30 and alone...so screw that...i've changed!!

Sup steve? I think it would be a good idea to talk to her and get to know her better and by all means, try and spend some quality "together" time with her and not just internet chat. Don't push things too fast though. I can see you are very interested in her and wish she were by your side tomorrow, but take your time.

As for your best friends sister part, I don't think it will be TOO big of a problem although some problems may arise. I'd be a bit weirded out myself if my sister was sleeping with my best friend. My advice on that matter is to keep your personal business like that between JUST to two of you (if you two get together) and for sure, don't do anything to hurt her. If you hurt the baby sister, big brothers tend to be pretty defensive so be careful of that. Your "bestfriend" relationship MAY suffer from this. But you know them both better than I do, so use your own judgement as to how they would react.

If you like her, go after her. Whats to stop you? If she feels the same way as you do, you may end up with a lifelong companion, why would you want to miss out on that?
