i know that this is something a little new to the advice forum.

ok if your not too sure about a friend. yet you seriously want to give this person a friendship test. to see if they are seriously a friend or not. how would you go about testing them?

but testing them in a way that your friend wouldn't know that you are testing them to begin with.

what do you people suggest?

I suggest not testing them. If you like them, hang out with them. If you don't, don't.

The fact that you have to test them is a problem in itself.

Friendships are easy. There isn't any question. If there is any question the friendship isn't really a friendship. More of an aquaitenship.

Whats happened to make you want to test this person shy?

hmmm... you could test if the friend is really there for you when you really need them, so sort of fake an emergency situation or something...

If you did that then you would be in the wrong. If someone did that to me then they wouldn't be my frind anymore. That would prove to me that they are not my frine. Being dishonest is never the answer.

This is like a storyline in neighbours, I bet you test them and they come through and really are your friend, but then find out it’s a test and say they can’t be your friend anymore, then you make it up to them by doing something a little bit off the wall to show you care, then you probably kiss even though they have a long term penpal girlfriend, then you go surfing.

....Shy Shy, you don't need to test your friend, he/she will prove if he/she are your friend whithought you testing him/her...

...careful though, if you care about this person make sure that this test of yours won't upset him/her...you don't wanna loose a friend...

If you test your friend and they catch on, then they'll fell manipulated and the trust is gone.

If you don't trust them the friendship is over anyway. If you switch it and they're innocent and they find that they have been manipulated, then you're friendship is over.
