i know i havnt been on line for a while..if many of you remember me *lmao*..

anywho i dont have the net so i will try to check this as much as posible at a friends house but i do need a bit of help finding some things out..and having them explained to me...(yes i know there is an advice section..but more ppl will see it here..and i dont have much time)

i work for a couple at a resturaunt...and the wife wouldnt stop touching me after i asked her to..a few times..so i got moved from counter to prep cook (which i love...it rocks i play with knives)..anywho..they cut my hrs cuz i got moved..and the husband..well i guess he didnt really know all of what was going on..well a few days ago he lectured me to tears about why my hrs were cut..cuz i got moved..and i told himthe other reason i got moved was cuz of what had happend between me and his wife..and her not laying off..she said i needed therapy or psychiatric (sp?) treatment..and that she wasnt going to change who she was..and she wasnt going to stop..unfortunatly no one else heard this when she told me, well yeasterday he told me that i had to appologize for the flase accuzations that i had made against his wife and "work things out" with her...or i am to be fired

thing is im not the only one that has this problem with her..but i am the only one that has and will say anything about it..*sighs*

i have no clue what to do..i have looked up laws..but they confuse the bloody fuck out of me when i read them os if anyone has any info to help me with this..incase i get fired...or if i stay there and they just try to cut my hrs to make me quiet or something, it would be most helpfull thanks

Funny thing about those laws is you can't even tell a dirty joke without running the risk of sexual harrasment(I have had to attend a few courses about sexual harrasment) Sexual harrasment is any form of touching or anything you hear that is sexually offensive to you, no that is wrong, anything that happens around you or to you that you consider sexually offensive. You can file a police report about it, and if you get fired because of this, you can sue the couple, and win. All you have to do is get those other people to talk to the cops with you, the will be witnessess. He may have you over a barrel, but you, unbeknownst to him, have him by the balls.

Hmmmm...so this couple owns the resteraunt eh. I used to wait tables for a couple like that on a boat. They were both alcoholics he was the cook she ran things and tended bar. She wasn't a lesbian or anything...just one of those handsy wine drinkers. You know...red wine and adult atmospheric type place it's to be expected really in some joints... I mean...there are those outgoing swingy type people who retire and just live it up. My suggestion to you Lilly is this:
If you feel that you are being harrassed and don't like it... obviously you should...find a new job.
I really don't understand why anyone would want to continue to work anywhere that made them uncomfortable. Especially a resteraunt job I mean...they come a dime a dozen don't they. Why would you want to work for these people anymore anyway. If it really bothers you...leave. Problem solved.

I mean...I don't know your situation but some people are just touchy by nature and don't mean anything by it. Is this like a chain resteraunt or a family owned deal. If it's their place I would just leave them alone I mean...what did she do exactly? Grab your crotch...fondle your breast or just brush up against your arm accidentally with her breast wich is large and got in the way while she was trying to tell you something and she didn't notice or was to busy to apologise because she has a million things going on and was numbed slightly by the wine?
I know when I worked in a resteraunt it was hustle bustle and there was always alot of touching...nonintensional. Hell at redlobster waitresses were treated like cheap whores...even by the police officers. I had them smack me on the ass all the time like it was nothing. It pissed me the hell off so I left. I mean if your looking for a classy place to work...they're out there. My boyfriend had a boss that was constantly telling him that there was no work and trying to get him to go to the bar with her...so...he found a new place of employment...obviously that place was a fucking joke. Don't like the way the ship sails than leave.
I'm sure many disagree with me but...that's my stand on the matter.

If they are a bunch of alcoholics or pervs...they'll go down eventually anyway. I have found that everytime someone did me wrong...if I just sat tight...one day I would read about them in the paper or here about them going down. It's just the law of nature. You can also try to sue...they can counter sue...you will have a big pain in the ass on your hands as far as reputation, publicity, watching your back, others hiring you, etc.... but if it effected you so badly that you just can't let it go then go for it. If it's worth the trouble to you than it's worth it. The alcoholics I worked for just drank themselves out of business.

as far as what she did..a lot of grabbing..and hugging and more ..that i really dont feel like getting into right now..

this is not the first job to have this happen to me at as well *sighs*
now as far a s other work..i live in a seasonal town..95% of this town closes down in the winter..and if you piss off the wrong ppl..you wont even get unemployment..and in the middle of the summer..everything that is open is full..no one needs any help..

i am going to go look..*sighs*..im just not sure what the fuck to do..or what my rites or anything like that are..*shrugs*

yeah, i'd find a new job too. but then again i'm not one for confrontations is all. but finding a new job seems like the easy way out to me. easy way out is what i'd opt for. otherwise it would get messy. not that i'm saying what is happening is right, but if you want to do it, good luck on it all. you have more guts than me.

yea..i think that is what i might do..if i dont try to figure something out with them and stay on the rest of the season..i dont want to have to do anything with the corts if posible.. i cant aford it..i think im just going to make it known that i know what my rites are on this.and that they cant fire me...but try to make still working there as easy as posible..*shrugs*..

well i found a new job..and never ended up taking the woman to court..i know i should have..but truthfully i didnt want that big of a mess with my boyfriend still working there and everything..not to mention i didnt and still dont have the money for the legal fees


anywho..i now work somewhere that is awesome..its a small internet cafe and im the ONLY employee..wich is cool..the boss covers my days off i love it..him and his wife are so sweet and laid back

good i'm glad things have turned around for you... you seem happy about the new job that you have... that is great... i'm happy girl... about not taking that girl to court... i could understand why you didn't do that...
