and yes we may get another kitten someday. but no, we wont be naming it after her. a new kitten wont ever replace my Lenore and i wont name it as such.
it isnt like replacing a toy that breaks.
well i do of course have pets. i had a male german shepherd. he had cancer and he got rather skinny. he was hurting everywhere. so we had to put him to sleep.
then we also had a female husky. she had two tumors growing out of her ears. with her back legs she had arthritis. she to was in pain. also had to put her down.
it was very hard to put both of them to sleep.
as well as having others. some who ran away and some who have died.
to get over it that is what we did. we got the same kind as our origional pet. gave it the same name. then we got over it.
we still do that.
but you don't have to talk to me like that. like i don't know what it's like to replace another fucking pet. i was being helpfull and you didn't have to be a bitch. so because of that fuck you. so if you didn't like my advice. then don't ask for it.

Anyway at the end he was screeching and he couldnt walk anymore or eat and was in terrible pain and agony. Yeah my dad told me to end his misery and we werent gonna pay money for a 100 dollar poisoning or gassing (sleep) So I cracked his head with a wrench in the basement and buried him in the Garden. It sucked. But it had to be done.
I think the movie Old Yeller prepared me for that one.

odd. they usually dont live much longer than 2 years. their hearts usually give out on them.

It's way after the fact, but you have my condolences, and I can understand you not wanting to name your new pet after the old one. I have a cat myself that is going on nine years old and I've had her since she was 3 months old or thereabouts and I have no idea how I will take it when it's her time. I love her like I've never loved a pet before. She's the only cat I've owned and even thinking about losing her seems huge, so I can only imagine at this point what you must have been going through when you began this thread. I wish you warm memories of your old pet and many warm memories to be made with the new ones you may have.
