I fucked up... again... and again... Im always so damned lonely but I dont know what to do about it... I think of my ex a lot... but I know that we cannot, should not be together.... Im practically in love (if thats what you can call it) with a girl I have hardly met... she is my old roomates ex..... but nothing will come of that.. so Im pissed off that I even think about... how the hell can I just get myself to stop loving so much... or atleast stop thinking about it?..... .. and thanks anyways.., but I tried drinking and drugs... didnt work....

All I can say is that I know the feeling. But there will be a light somewhere. I was ready to just not care at all for a while, but then I found Jocelyn...and everything changed. Don't get down on yourself.

Step back and realize that at this point, you may just be in love with the feeling of love, rather than with a person. Look at reality rather than what your mind creates for you to look at. You might see things differently...I know its helped me before.

How long of a relationship was it with your ex, just curiously?

I know exactly what you mean. I dealt with it by meeting new people. I surrounded myself by people I didnt know but wanted to. I made alot of friends, and met alot fo people I could hook up with if I wanted to. Maybe if you did the same it would help?

.. and Finalword... well me and my ex were together for about a year and a half... it was a rather dramatic break up... we are still friends.. and still love each other.. which makes it even harder...
.. .but.. I know we must move on.. so.. I just have to convince myself not to even let myself consider it.... .. I guess...
... as for the other girl.... I know I am in love with the idea of being inlove... .but.. I am also infatuated with this girl....
.. every time I saw her since the first day my roomate brought her to our place... (hes no longer my roomate) I got more and more enthralled with her.... her personality intrigued me and she seemed like my type exactly.... but.. I never got to talk to her enough.. and when me and my roomate moved out... that was that.... if I really wanted to I could probly get a hold of her..

That's why I am telling you this. Sometimes you cannot resist. Follow your heart. I am not going to tell you that maybe it is meant to be. I am just telling you to free yourself and let things resolve on their own.

Follow your heart... but not with closed eyes. That's the only advice I have in this. You sound a man of reason. Look ahead, and try and see what on your path lies... Seek love, for that you do desire. But seek love that will not hurt...

Yes it is one of my quotes. It is one that I made not to long after my last ex broke up with me. I did love her with all my heart. It took me a long time to realize that it truly was not ment. Have faith in yourself, Straven, for though it may not seem like it, you do have the strength, it is just hidden deep with in, waiting to be tapped. Also don't feel to down about the whole g/f thing. In my entire life I have had only three and they were all within the span of less than a year. I haven't had one since January. I know the pain you speak of well, but I take confidence that if I put an end to it once before, then I shall be able to do so again.
