Condoms don't necessarily prevent the spread of all infections, including this one. I am currently studying anatomy and as we are on the integumentary (skin) system, I thought I would point out that to my current knowledge, and this info taken from a currently published text (2006), that Type II can be quite virulent, and can exist outside its host, and a person doesn't have to exchange bodily fluids to catch it as it can exist on skin.

Also, it's one of those extremely rare days that Billy and I are in agreement, as I believe disclosure of this sort is the behavior of a responsible adult and nothing less would be acceptable in my opinion. I don't feel it would be acceptable to be "optional". Considering that there's no real way to figure out who gave the particular person the disease, or how many infected sexual partners they had, conviction of such crimes is minimal and close to nothing, only cases such as the one where the lady went around prostituting with HIV actually hit defendants with convictions, lack of evidence being the main factor. Sorry I watch alot of law and order. Also like G said Herpes is a skin disease, and condoms do absolutely NOTHING to stop the infection from spreading.
