I say about 14 or 15 should be the minimum. Not many of the 16 year olds I know I would consider unable to have a serious adult relationship. And I also can't say that I know very many 12 or 13 year olds that can hold down something serious. So I would say 14 or 15 is a good legal age. God Bless Canada. Sometimes.... Okay, now let's separate the world of relationships from the world of sex.
What is the "weird factor" on ages for one night stands and fuck buddies? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. I know 15 and 16 year olds that have been more mature and secure within themselves and the relationship, then the older people I have had realtionships with.
Also, on the other hand, a younger party might have the innocence appeal as well. Being the teacher is a major turn on for some people and they might not even realize it, so that overshadows the actual feelings for the person. This can also be thought of in the opposite (an older party).
In conclusion, I believe that it all depends on the people and/or the situation they find themselves in.

Wait is it different in Canada? I must sound slightly dumb but is it?
Ok so WHAT IF there was a 12 year old with a more adult mentality? Would it make you think differently? Life is a big bad wolf and it wants to eat you

Drunk parties...never should have a one night stand at one of them, unless you both soberly can chose to! If the person is young enough to be your kid...don't do it! Thats just my code. Fuck friends should be a friend too that all I can say to that...none of this bootie callin shit, thats dumb!
But thats me! Life is a big bad wolf and it wants to eat you

So one this so far stands out the most is that nomatter what the age (generaly) its more about the person and the situation! Its to true! I mean lets mess that up...what ARE them situations? Is the person a jew, father is a minister, mom is white trash drugie, kid comes from a big family/ What makes it ok and what doesn't? Whats the formula? Life is a big bad wolf and it wants to eat you

There is no formula.. It is a case by case instance.. I have dated older and younger women.. For some reason, the ones involving younger women seemed to last longer..
It is all about feeling safe, secure, and loved(both directions).. Age is not/should not be the mitigating factor in ANY relationship..
I will state that if puberty has not been reached, then the person has not/is not grown up enough to understand what a relationship truely is...
At my work, i have seen many variances in the ages of couples passing by.. some have older males, some older women.. many close in age.. The ones i know will last longer are the ones that seem happy and comfortable with each other.. Beware the ex's.. They ARE out to get you... Nice guys finish last It isn't just a saying.. It's a fact of life! Those things that produced your ex......you know, the bitchmakers! Metagion

You do know that girls can reach puderty up to 2 years earlier then males right? That can translate to about 9-10 on average! So your almost saying its ok to be with a 9-10 year old. I know thats not at all what you ment and I'm not looking to provoke an argument. but just making a healthy point.
I do believe there is a formula, for everything in life there is, its just some are unwriten. You can't tell me that a person subjected to war and violace isn't more so to be desensitized to such things? Not that it will always 100% of the time happen but its there and its part of the formula. Same for relationships. Science isn't love and love isn't science but its true that personalities count and a few are just better fitted for relationships regardless of maturity! Even if they seem to go hand and hand! (Personality & maturity)
maybe its just to hard to clearly state. What I mean is, your right, there is no true formula, but somethings do make it more likily for a relationship to work and I want to know what those things are that make a relationship with a younger person work! From all points of view. Yours, theirs, families, friends, societies...all. What seems to be the OK marker for making it work and seem ok?
Again thanks for your imput! Life is a big bad wolf and it wants to eat you

The legal age in Canada is 14.
And for a 12 year old, no. And I'll tell you why.... There is no denying that almost every relationshoip where there is one older person and one younger sex is an issue. Since girl bodies don't take their true shape until they are even around 20, it can be very very harmful for a unformed girl to be having sex. It can cause serious problems inside of the girl, especially if he is older and has a big(ger) penis than the boys her age. Even though it is still harmful for a 14 or 15 year old, at least they are a little bit more mature to handle that kind of decision, not to mention the responsibility of sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancy.
I say all this, but when push comes to shove who really cares? I started having sex when I was 11 years old and he was older than I was, and I had no idea about the responsibilities. But I do now, and I'm fifteen. So.... "Night, do not look for him." To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Wow, some of the smartest stuff I ever seen on screen writen from you...is right here! You make a great point. A smart point as well.
So how much of a realationship is sex? Talk about it in a % wise form here. For me its 50%, yep it makes up half of a relationship. Why cause as stupid as it sounds it fixes stupid arguments and you can connect on a different level. A more primal level at times then yet a more loving level other times. And hello, thats how you make a baby! Every good lasting relationship has a future and for me a future has a child in it!
Again, whats the % in your eyes? Life is a big bad wolf and it wants to eat you

as an added comment... ANY relationship based on sex is doomed to fail outside the bedroom/basement/cave where you chain her/him up/coffee table/ect..
It will be fun and enjoyable, but it will be doomed from the start... Beware the ex's.. They ARE out to get you... Nice guys finish last It isn't just a saying.. It's a fact of life! Those things that produced your ex......you know, the bitchmakers! Metagion

Percentage wise, I'm not sure.
I think you're terribly wrong, Tiggr. Some of the best relationships of mine have started with sexual encounters first. Sex can make or break a relationship, so it IS a big deal. If the guy wants 2 blowjobs a week and his girl won't stick it in her mouth, how far do you think its going to go? And it's not that the guy has a problem, their sexual personalities just don't mesh. Not alot of sex can be cool with some couples, but I know that there are alot of people in this world, myself included, that just NEEDS sex to be a part of their lives. In my eyes, after a while has passed during the relationship, sex has to happen. It all depends on how fast the couple is moving, of course, but I'm just saying that if a guy I went out with had no interest in having sex, we would probably become very emotionally close, but I know that I need sex, so I'd just end up "cheating" on him. Am I alone in this, or are there others like me? I'm thinking the majority of people are like me, Tigg.
But to you, Solace, I'm not sure percentage wise. For my horny little brain, it's a big number. And for those of you that think you can't have and hold a strong relationship with a person when there is sex involved, you're wrong. It's not like I'll be having so much sex that we couldn't get a word through to each other besides "Harder!" "Night, do not look for him."
