Who's got one? *raises hand* Im constantly thinking Im ugly or there is something wrong with my face,body,or hair.So Im constantly looking in the mirror,and Ive been working so much lately,that alot of my co-workers (male) notice,and gave me a mini intervention,blah blah.Saying theres nothing wrong with me,etc.Im trying to shake it,off,now.but its been with me since highschool,so its gonna be hard.Im going to try not to stare in the mirror so much looking for imperfections,starting now. But yeah,anyway,I also know someone who hates germs,and can "feel" them everywhere,so theyre constantly using paper towels,and rags,and stuff like that.

I can't sit in a room with the door open, it annoys me so much I snap at at anyone that leaves the door open, I have tried to sit in aroom wit a door open cos I was to lazy to get up but i can't consentrate on anything else until I get up and close the door, and den I watch people to make sure they close the door behind them everytime someone comes in.

i have an obsessive compulsive disorder i tend to do alot of menial task the same way everytime i do them like taking a shower it is the same pattern every time... my ex wife always thought it was odd and she tried to get me to stop a few times when we took showers together but i always wound up staying in the shower to go through the motions again even when the water got cold...

I know exactly how you feel with that one. I dunno whether I have any at the moment. I have kinda grown out of mine as Ive got older. My worst ones are in bed though. I always have to check my alarm clock around 3 or 4 times a night if Im getting up in a morning.I also have to have 2 pillows or else I cant go to sleep. And I have to have something to cuddle, either a teddy or a blanket.

i HATE with a passion people who dont close the door behind them when the leave the room. pisses me of so much. how hard can it really be to close a fucking door? mean really..

I correct people's grammar when they speak. If they say a word out on context, mispronounciation, unnecessary use of a word, anything along those lines, I call them on it. People hate me for it but I can't help it. If they complain, I just say it under my breath so at least I realize the mistake. I also have to correct spelling and grammar in people's writing or even in inappropriate places, like ripping down signs at work only to replace them with proper commas and capitalization.

Hmm, i have a problem sitting with my back to a door/windows.. It sounds cliche' But it's true.. I get that restless itching between my shoulderblades when i do.. If i am facing one with the other to my side, i'm fine.. But i can't have one at my back..

i have that one aswell. i also hate how when im washing my hands my back is to the bathroom door. i keep turning around to check that theres no one there, or that the door is still shut.

i don't know if i have a compulsive disorder. but for right now i'm going to go with my hair though. since i have long brown hair. i can't stop brushing it. and i'll stay brushing my hair untill all the nots are gone from it. like all the nots seriously need to be out of my hair. if the nots aren't out. then i'll keep brushing my hair untill there all gone. and yes of course i love my hair.

i actually suffer from a slight case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder....i've gotten better, but i used to be bad....

things OCD fucked with me:
settin' my alarm....OMG!!!! still a bad one i'm tryin' to break....but, i'll set my alarm, then check it....check it again....and again....and again, and again, and again, and again.....at my worse, i'd prolly check my alarm over 100 times within an hour....now i'm down to about 20-30 times an hour....it sux

showering....at my worse, 4-5 showers a day......i no longer do this, but i still wash my hands constantly....and in scolding-hot water.....itz so bad, my hands are always chapped and peelin'.....it sux

brushing my teeth....i still do this from time to time, but i'd brush my teeth prolly 5 times a day....

in public, i still do this....germs, FREAK ME OUT!!!!! i never, EVER, EVER, EVER grab any door-handle with my bare hand.....i'll take my shirt and open it like that.....also, if i pet an animal, i immediately wash my hands.....

i also have a tendency to grind and chatter my teeth......itz annoying.....

smokin' a bowl with peeps....i always wipe the mouthpiece clean before i toke up.....(yet, i will drink from someone elses glass no problem......go figure)

and um....i think thatz it.......OOOH, but when i used to go to class, i'd constantly check to make sure my essays and homework and books were in my bag.....over, and over, and over, until i'd get to class....

thatz all i can recall.....

WAIT!!!! one more....i piss a lot, and make myself piss a lot....and even if i don't have to pee, i'll still try and go piss....

there, now i think thatz all of 'em.....yeah, OCD sux ass......

LOL if it's a small bathroom, try sliding your foot back against it.. it actually helps...
If not, then turn and use the sink from the side if you can..

I've got OCD so I have a lot of little compulsions.
1) I have to alphabetise my books
2) My statues have to face the correct position
If I have to walk somewhere, I have to know how long it will take and if there are any smaller routes
4) I can't leave the house before I take everything I need, which also includes books, writing pads, pens, pencils, journals, cross stitch, etc..
5) It takes at least an hour before I leave the house, mainly because I procrastinate if I should go or not.
6) I turn off all taps at least 5 times, checking on it randomly to make sure I haven't left it dripping.
7) When I place things on a table, they have to be grouped together in a specific order.
8) I never let anybody touch me.
9) I hate germs so I can't go into a public communal, (i.e. toilets).

i hate people touching or moving my stuff, though i have slightly managed to get used to having gus moving my stuff about. gus hates it when i start organising a room as i have to have everything perfect and how i want it. it took me and hour and a half just to organise how i wanted my candles displayed..

one of my friends is exactly the same, even if u just move something less than a centimetre she will notice that something is wrong, it just takes her ages to figure out what!

try setting an area where you decide how things are set... Your personal area... he is not allowed to touch without your consent...

believe me it helps...

OH, the rest is equal footing, but that area is your own..

I saw a documentary once which said most people have OCD to some extent at one point in their life or another.

I used to have to touch everything with my left hand if I had accidentally touched it with my right and vice versa. Everything had to be touched an even number of times, not odd. I don't really think about it anymore though.

thats pretty much how it is. the bedroom is basically how i set it up.
the film room is how he wants it.
and the rest of the rooms he can tidy if he wants, but i'll usually go running around after him moving everything anyways.

im not as bad as i was. it was just getting used to having someone living with me, and not getting to have everything my own way. was strange for a while.

gus used to love it when he still stayed at his mums though, because i used to come in and tidy his room!


i have another thing i hate. i have to get gus to stand at the top of the stairs and watch me untill i get on the stairs that are lit up, because i get paranoid thinking someones behind me..
