er yeah...i got a problem with deciding my future.... and what career to choose... anyway.... i guess i really have no idea...some people say i should do what i like....

and... i like computers and physics....and yeah.... the thing is... i dont want to go into computers...cuz of all the competition there is...or will be....

the whole doctor crap is out...cuz i can stand biology...so...

eh....my parents are expecting me to do something....eh....how should i say... well paying... so.... i guess i am asking for ideas

psycology - err...i have to take biology...
cook- my parents dont like the idea
coorperate lawyer - sounds boring
information technology - competition
design/digital design - err....dont know much about it....

so..... i would like some advice...and not some wise ass coments from idiots...

actually you could check into a job in the gaming industry, maybe testing them before market or something...tell you parents you want some time to decide...if they are persistant in you pursueing a college career immediatly, take some general classes and see what presents itself.

The IT industry has been slumped for the last 4 years. Apparently it's expected to get better within the next 1 or 2 years.

If you like kids(and there stuff) try being a kid shrink..

psychology - not much biology just a class or two

It's been said time and time again but stick with something you enjoy. The IT/tech industry is slumping right now but I'm guessing your not going to be out in the field for a few years anyway. The IT/tech industry is going through a transition of sorts with its personnel anyway. They're finding out that a lot of the people in the industry aren't as well trained as they claimed to be so the jobs are going to individuals that have the credentials and/or the real experience. Sort of a seperating of the wheat from the chaff. A lot of the schlubs who can't do the work are going to taking the easy way out (rather than go back to school) and working elsewhere. Maybe something in the computer generated graphic arts field? Keep in mind also that 70% of all college graduates don't work in the field thay studied in college. You have more time than you think, just get a degree!

I'm kinda wondeing about the future too, cause heck like you I don't know what I'm gonna do and the more I think about it the more stressed I become... I know this means nothing but I think I'll just wait until the time comes heck with a little planning I don't think it'll go that bad... So I guess I'm just living for the moment...

what comes naturally to you guys? when in doubt find something that youre good at. ask your friends that know you best what they think your really good at. im sure they can come up with ideas that are alot more accurate and helpful.

im good at computer games....
and computer stuff seems to come naturally to me...
for example...
in computers were doing excel
the rest of the class is stuck on =sum and =min and =max stuff like that...and im learning stuff like =lookup
thats just an example though... hell... i even tinker around with excel formulas when im REALLY bored...

Have you thought about mathematics?

A couple of guys I used to work with (programmers) just wrote algorhythms [sp] for AI robots.
The advantage with this is that although it's programming, there is very little competition and the money is ridiculously high for the ammount of work you have to do.

You can walk into the games industry or robotics with a maths degree.

Feroluce is right, perhaps you can learn to create games or other stuff through programming...

The last of your options or list of ideas seems like a good one. I mean even if you don't know much about it you can go back to school for like 2 years to earn a degree in something of that sort most likely! So good luck with the future!

You don't have to "enjoy" it, the question is are you good at it?

You wouldn't really have to use it much in this job, it's just the qualification you need to get into it.

Computer science might be a good blanket bet, from there you can move into the programming end or the interface end.
