Listen.... Amy is seriouly in the hospital, this is not a joke or whatever you guys are thinking. My name is Alisha, I am her older, not teenage, sister. Right now she is in Harris Hospital, in Harris NY and on her way to Rotchester Medical, in Rotchester, NY. (forgive the spelling on that if I am wrong.) If any of you want you are free to call there. I don't really get why you guys would be so hostile like that though, I thought this was a site to help people and to share views without critsim. I don't want to "fight" with anyone, I guess I just thought that maybe she had some friends on here that might want to say something so that I could print it out to show her when they finially let me visit her. Or, that maybe if someone had any ideas about how I might help her..... She's 15, people, a very real 15 year old girl that is in baddddd shape right now. She's always talking about how she loves this site, and right now I don't really see why, but if you don't belive it or don't like her just don't post, you don't need to disrespect her or me, who you don't even know. Plus, I will add that whoever has lied about that in the past, I feel bad for..... I don't think that it's something to make fun of or be mean about. Sometimes people get depressed and get fucked up in the head, which makes them do or say stupid shit... but, I don't think that makes THEM stupid. I dunno, I think that there are a lot of people in the world that need help, and yeah my sister is one of them.

What did she do that put her in the hospital?

I am not sure on all the details, I guess her bestfriend called my mom last night to say that she was scared that amy was gonna do something, so my mom freaked and went into her room. Then the next thing anyone knows, my mom had her in the car to go to the hospital. Then in the hospital, they made her put on one of those hospital gowns, and she had fresh cuts all over her body and found blades and a book of pomes she wrote that were very disturbing.... I don't live with them, and my mom didn't want to tell me too much on the phone I guess... my parent's are in pretty bad shape... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............

For those of you that know her though, I don't think this was "teenage" depression or the break up with that kid matt... I think amy has something for real wrong with her....and "teenage" shit and matt just added to it...

Also, can someone please fill me in on this whole cutting thing....... what's the point? I am not being unsympathic, but, doesn't having your body covered in scars just make u MORE depressed?

Some people see it as a way to let off steam. I find it a bit a pointless. Fresh cuts on top of being down can't really be helpful. Well, if your sisters in the hospital and in nowhere near fatal condition she'll be fine. If she's not in any Intensive Care or anything it shouldn't be a big deal, outside of emotional trauma. You keep asking for advice and there's really none anyone can give you. If she's in the hospital she's in good hands; nothing you can do there. When she's released they'll probably have her do counseling, get med'ed or if it's really bad, make ehr stay in the psycheward for a while. There's nothing you can do for her beyond general talking and support. The doctors'll take care of the rest.

wasnt she already on meds? i swear i read that someplace. and yea she cuts and believe she tried to hang herself at some dance or something because this ammie girl and matt were together. thats what she has posted in another thread someplace so if thats not whats supposed to be said its too late because its all over. now cutting seems to be a physical release to an emotional problem or some kind of fetish but i dont know why amy does it because the cutting doesnt seem to be helping her in anyway. well all have real problems. i m a teenager with problems but they are real ones. everyone has thier petty disputes and mishaps but amy feels the need to share all those with everyone and thats why she gets ragged on so badly here sometimes. if you want alisha print out the PM i sent you.

She really needs to toughen up and learn that the world isn't always going to bow to your every wish. But I PM'd you about that.

Understandably this girl seemed to have enjoyed coming to this site, and concern is naturally going to be the case. But in my honest opinion I think you should rather BE with your family instead of hanging around online. If you need to understand what is going on with your sister you should focus on her REAL life, friends, school peers etc. That is the only way you may get closer to what the issues are. This place, the net, is generally like Hollywood... great fun, escapism, fake for the sake that it's a plastic thing with a screen and one can genuinely just indulge in losing oneself in all the information, conversations and lack of responsibility. But this is NOT the place to get to know your sister better. Sure there is the information on cutting, read that, but I'd say speak with the hospital's psychologist, whom I am sure will be speaking with her and your parents without a doubt.
Just to clarify something, she was at your house, left the comp and DF open and then went home and slit her wrists? Or cut extensively as it were....

all i can say is i hope she gets the help that she needs to be okay. i know what its like to feel that kind if depression and believe me, its a good thing she's getting help now instead of continuing on like this.

Dude first of all, I doubt you have ever experience ANY of the suffering people like Amy go through. I say this because of what I just saw in your above message.
If that is going to be your attitude on the advice forum i will give you some advice you should ponder...
I advise you to resign your ability to mod this forum or have someone ban you because you are not doing me nor anyone else here who has real problems and come asking for REAL help (not some half assed smart alec remark like you seem to spout to these people all the time.) any good at all.
In fact i think you are making it worse. You can ban me for having my own opinion of you if you wish... but it wont change the fact that I am right and you are wrong.
When someone is in trouble... the last thing they need to hear is "suck it up" or "get over it". Those are pretty much the messages you seem to be trying to get through to anyone and everyone that i have seen reach out for help.
You need to stop offering advice if thats all you have to offer.

I for one (wether you choose to dismiss this fact or not) know what these people are going through and what is crossing through their minds when they are in this state. And I feel that I and other people like me have a duty to protect them from people like you. Get a life and shut up unless you are going to say something helpful. That is all.

And yes, I decided to post this here in this thread because alot of other people in this forum feel the same way i do towards your attitude. Having you mod this forum is like having Crypt mod the friendship forum. It just doesnt make any sense.

And i dont give a flying fuck if the story about Amy being in the hospital is true... not that i dont care if that were true because that would just be sad and make you look even worse. You just shouldnt treat people with problems the way you do. Its obvious that you do not understand. Also keep in mind, it DOES matter if this is some hoax for trying to get attention or not. You have to realize this kind of thing has happened before, the hoax, and it put a lot of people through serious emotional distress, worry and angst. You cannot blame people for being guarded and suspicious. There are some questions concerning the validity of this thread and its contents. So keep that in mind before you lash out again!

I will give -real- help when there is a -real- problem. If this preteen goes bananas then she needs to get her arse off the internet and into a shrink's ward. But my guess is he'll just tell her the same I do, in less harsh words: That this world will not conform to -HER- wishes and that she needs to learn to live with that.
I don't ban. Normal mods cannot do that, only supermods and the admin (Garg). I won't ask any for this sort of action either, it is not my way. You're well entitled to your opinion, and I to mine. That I am a mod changes nothing of that.
Sometimes you do need to "suck it up". If you've lossed a penny on the street and continue to whine about that for weeks you are just pathetic. A similar situation here: Something without much real worth is lost, and this person continues to whine about that. I will tell the person to move on and toughen up in that case, 'cause if this is how she responds to minor losses, she'll kill herself over the first major loss she has to deal with. Death of her mom or pet, or something like that, would set her off.

I was asked to watch over this place by Waterbearer, seeing she does not have much time to do that anymore. I agree I am better at home in the techforums, but I do have an input here.
We have had a "suicide report" like this before. It was checked out, and fake. The style of writing of this "sister" and the person in question is similar. The probability is that this story is fake. Another cry for attention. To demand attention with a threat of suicide is unacceptable for me.
As for my times at that age, I will not go into detail, but they were far from easy. But instead of whining about it over and over again, I learned to be strong enough to withstand emotional battering. It is not the easy path. But it is the only path that can make you independant.
